The Albion’s 125th celebration activities include a unique new skate deck launched in collaboration between longstanding (and super cool) Brighton brand Pig City Skates and Dogma. With artwork by @motski_art Born from the streets of the city - way back in 1976 - Pig City Skates is a long-standing Brighton skate brand that has stayed true to its indie anti-establishment roots. The limited edition Pig City x Brighton & Hove Albion commemorative decks are currently available from Pig City Skates (pigcity.co.uk) and the link in our bio with some profits going to Sussex charity The Martlets. #bhafc

Children are the biggest victims of the UK's spouse/partner visa rule. We knew it from our day-to-day work that this policy - which has been hidden in plain sight - has caused untold damages to those whose only “fault” has been to fall in love with someone born abroad, and more particularly the horrendous impact on the children who are the biggest victims of these rules. Watch and share this animation which outlines the impact of the rules on children. We deserve a family migration system that doesn't punish children on bi-national couples Thanks to @motski_art for the beautiful animation.

Today is a pivotal day for bi-national couples and families: for the first time people on the spouse/partner visa route were listened to by a Committee that wanted to learn what life is really like when you want to live in the UK and were moved by what we read in the report #FamiliesBelongTogether Through the pages the suffering, stress and uncertainty caused by the rules since their introduction is clear. We knew this from our day-to-day work but reading it also emerging in the Migration Advisory Committee report shows that couples and families affected wanted for once for their voices and experiences to be heard We also want to thank @coram.uk for the child-centred interviews they conducted on our behalf which were submitted to the MAC and which informed their findings related to the negative impacts on them, often the biggest (and most hidden) victims of this policy. Follow us throughout the day to learn more about the review and the steps that we hope the Government will have the courage to take to make the family migration system work for everybody, regardless of their income or where they live in the country. A family is a right, not a privilege. We are also really proud to present today our animations outlining 1️⃣the impacts on people of the spouse visa route 2️⃣the way in which it affects children in particular Share these animations in your network and ask your MPs to #StandUpForFamilies #FamiliesBelongTogether"
