Meet Honors Program senior, Alex Taft, who told a crowd of donors about how scholarships have made his journey at MSJ possible. Framing his path to Mount St. Joseph as a love story of sorts, Alex spoke poignantly about both hardship and hope and finding a second home at the Mount. We are so proud of all that he has accomplished. He’s an athlete, a writer, an editor, a diligent and motivated student and a future educator. We are so excited to watch how he changes the world.

Writer’s Block members Zakary Smith and Alex Taft and alum, Sophie Hirt, shared their stories at the MSJ Presidential Scholarship fundraising event on Friday, 10/23. Their stories are inspiring and moving, their words are beautiful and poignant. Those who have given to MSJ to help students like Zak, Sophie and Alex should know that their gifts keep giving. Writer’s Block wouldn’t be the same without these three. We are so lucky that they found a home at MSJ and they will forever be part of our MSJ and Writer’s Block families.

What a wonderful and inspiring evening at the President’s Scholarship Benefit!

It was truly heartwarming to hear our students share their stories, experiences, and journeys. Their words were filled with gratitude, resilience, and hope, reminding us of the incredible impact education can have on shaping lives and futures.

We were especially proud to see our very own graduating senior, Lucas Williamson, take the stage as one of the student speakers! What a special moment to celebrate his journey and accomplishments!

An evening filled with inspiration, meaningful connections, and so much pride in our amazing MSJ students!

🍎 Inspiring the Next Generation of Educators! 📚✨
Our Assistant Dean of Educator Preparation, Harrison Collier, headed over to Oak Hills High School for their Career Fair! 🏫💼
Harrison represented the field of education with so much passion and dedication, showing students just how rewarding, impactful, and exciting a career in teaching can be. 🌟 Teacher candidates are the future, and we couldn’t be prouder to have Harrison leading the charge and opening doors for future leaders!
Thank you, Oak Hills High, for having us! 🙌 Highlanders today, future Lions and educators tomorrow! ❤️🎓

Who says learning has to stay inside the classroom?

Professor Swati’s Design Thinking and AI class took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed outdoors for a little fresh air, creativity, and collaboration!

Students explored AI prompts, brainstormed ideas, and worked together on their projects, proving that great ideas can happen anywhere!

A little sunshine, some creative minds, and a whole lot of innovative thinking!
