This is the final weekend to view “Armarium Mirabilium,” a popup group exhibition presented by Plum Gallery, featuring work by Jared Goldfischer, Wyatt Bertz, Eva Tellier, Neal Cashman, and Miguel Ángel Salazar & Carlos Iván Hernández. ARMARIUM MIRABILIUM Translating from Latin to “Cabinet of Curiosities,” the exhibition draws inspiration from collections of objects assembled before their categorical boundaries had been clearly defined. Originally referring to entire rooms rather than pieces of furniture, these cabinets brought together the strange, the beautiful, and the unexpected. We’ve transformed Ptolemy into a contemporary cabinet of curiosities, bringing together works that challenge the boundaries of what art is, what it isn’t, and how it can be experienced. Come curious! Ladies and gentlemen I regret to inform you that we accidentally, despite the best efforts of our slacking-on-pre-production selves—our essentially lazy dispositions—our sick, sick, horrible, fucked up, lazy dispositions—we may have gotten really good footage during the shoot between 7/22-7/26. We’re avant-gardists, which means we like making stuff that’s BAD—this however, will be, ostensibly, really GOOD. Oh no!!! A billion good boy points go to our tireless crew, including DP Leo, audio recordist Jamen, production designer Carly, costume designer Rachel, gaffer Adam, AC Colin, AD Gianna, puppeteer Jared, and goated PA + general resident pimp/player Mikey. Everyone there on the first sweltering day in the no A/C Jersey City apartment is an official US Army Veteran now. A special shoutout goes to Donovan, who simultaneously produced, assistant directed, and acted in this project. The main cast, all untrained actors, annihilated the script—in a good way—i.e., remembered their lines and delivered asinine (in a good way) performances. The extras were extremely down with us making them look ridiculous, contemptible, and befuddling, which is huge. Thank you! Expect this film in its full chicken-form in later 2026. Again, unironically, thanks to all of our donors who helped us realize this project. You MAY or MAY NOT, in a hypothetical near-future, and depending on the legality of such indulgences, be receiving a G*FT in the MA*L from us pertaining to a physical media version of our films.
