One of the things I’ve always appreciated about Aradia Fitness owner @chantellebeez is how committed she is to continuing education, instructor development, and making sure her students are learning in a safe, supportive environment. She’s constantly investing in best practices and empowering instructors through education, mentorship, and high quality training opportunities. I’m so privileged to play a small part in a video project currently being created for @aradiayeg There were honestly so many moments from this video that I wanted to share because I think these conversations are incredibly important for aerial coaches and instructors. This little snippet is one of my favourites. 🖤 Also… if you’ve been thinking about expanding your teaching knowledge or beginning your instructor journey, I’ll be teaching the In Person Beginner Aerial Sling Certification in Edmonton on August 22 through @movementartsacademy The course includes: • 9 hours of in studio instruction • anatomy and body mechanics for aerial sling • injury prevention and safety practices • movement breakdowns, modifications, and progressions • class structure and programming • routine and combo building • liability, insurance, and instructor resources 📍 Aradia South Edmonton 🗓 Saturday, August 22, 2026 ⏰ 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM 🎓 Instructor: Melanie Doderai #aerialcoach #aerialcoaching #aerialtraining #coachingpractice #aerialcourse

Here’s where I’m at❗️ #splitsprogress #splits #frontsplits #mygoodside I attended “Not There Yet: Splits Edition” with @trainwith.trinity, which also served as her certification exam with @movementartsacademy as a flexibility coach. Prior to this, my front splits practice was inconsistent — I often avoided it out of fear and lack of confidence. The last time I felt truly comfortable in my splits was as a child during community ballet. Now, in my mid-thirties, I’m intentionally working to rebuild that mobility in a safe and sustainable way. This experience genuinely shifted my perspective about my body. Trinity’s coaching is thoughtful, supportive, and highly knowledgeable — she creates an environment that feels both challenging and safe, which made it easier to explore my edge without fear. I left with practical tools, a better understanding of my body, and more confidence in my progress. I highly recommend @trainwith.trinity for anyone looking for personalized coaching or support in their flexibility journey.

Great dancers train. Great teachers evolve. 👠 Last year we released The Movement Mastery Method — an online program designed to give performers around the world access to high-quality training and development. This year, we’re expanding that vision to support the educators leading the room. Introducing the Heels Teacher Academy — a certification program designed to help dance instructors refine their teaching approach, strengthen their methodology, and confidently lead heels classes with structure, intention, and artistry. Inside the program you’ll find 35+ hours of training, choreography tools, and teaching frameworks designed to support both your growth as an instructor and your impact on the dancers you guide. For more information or to secure your spot, DM us for the link or check out the website in our bio. 💗 #heelsdance #danceteacher #danceeducation #onlinecertification #dancecoach

Some songs carry a memory in their rhythm. 🎶 When I first started exploring heels, “Confident” by Demi Lovato was the song I’d play at home while practicing my walks. Just me, the music, and the mission to feel a little bolder in my body each time. Fast forward to today. Back in the studio, picking back up at week 9 of my @movementartsacademy training after a little hiatus during show prep. I hit play for my across-the-floor breakdown… and guess what song came on... Yup, Confident. Full circle moment. 🔁 Back then I was building the confidence. Today I got to dance inside of it. One note from the training that really stayed with me today: Don’t focus on perfection. Add your own flair. So that’s exactly what I did. Turned the music up, let the walks flow, and enjoyed the process. Here’s what it looked like today. 💃🏽 Excited to keep moving through this next chapter of training. #dancetraining #funflow #acrossthefloors #dancer

Towards the end of 2025 I started the Movement Mastery Method, a course designed by @stefanieeby @ebyentertainment to learn something I have zero training in: dance. It has already taught me so much, not only in terms of dance, but in having patience with myself in learning something entirely new. It has been a lesson in movement, mind, and motivation. I encourage everyone to try something you’ve always wanted to try this year. Here’s to my newest journey of movement 👯‍♀️ @movementartsacademy PS- ballet barre is no joke!!

What we repeat becomes what we trust. This phase is about refining, not performing and letting the body build confidence through consistency and patience. Week 7 @movementartsacademy working on those turns. Excited for what's ahead.

Day 16. Real reps. Real pauses. Real faces. This is what learning looks like. Not polished. Not perfect. Just present. Week 6 of Movement Mastery as me deep in centers + isolations, and whew… some of these patterns are brand new to my body. You can see the concentration. You can see the frustration. And if you watch closely, you’ll catch me laughing at myself too. That part matters. It’s okay to not get it right the first time. It’s okay to struggle. It’s okay to fail, adjust, and try again. Growth lives outside comfort, and I practice what I preach. Every time. Showing up messy is still showing up. And that’s where growth happens. If you’re learning something new and feeling stuck today, you’re not behind. You’re in it.
