Thank you to everyone who joined our Faith & Blue: Community Speaks event! 💙

Staff, students, and faculty shared their voices by writing positive affirmations, religious verses, song lyrics, and words of encouragement on quilt squares — soon to become our Community Quilt 🧵✨

We’re so grateful to @brownocrl for partnering with us again during National Faith & Blue Weekend, a nationwide initiative fostering safer, stronger, and more unified communities through faith-based collaboration.

Had a marvelous time at the PLECET (Professionalizing Law Enforcement Community Engagement Training) Conference in Chicago. Truly enjoyed meeting new friends. Also had a great time attending the informative breakout seminars. Could not visit Chicago and not enjoy the various foods it has to offer, Yumm! Also, was truly Honored to meet Mrs. Xerona Clayton who was Dr. Martin Luther King’s assistant. She’s the only living person from Dr. King’s inner circle. Also, attended the amazing City of Chicago Blues Festival! They had a BB King Tribute Band. Also, had a very meaningful visit to the The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center seeing the Art pieces, historical artifacts, etc., I even back a Patron of the Museum now and going forward. I would like to send a BIG Thank You to Rev. Markel Hutchins, Kevin Martinez, Micki Pearce and all the Staff of Moving Forward for a fabulous conference.
