A couple of weeks ago, Kirsten & Jack (& Reggie the frenchie) joined me on a wuthering, windblown Wednesday at Minnis Bay. When I say windy, I mean WINDY. Sometimes you just cannot predict the weather here on the North Kent coast. So, what I thought was going to be an epic, challenging shoot, turned out to be a breeze (excuse my pun!). Kirsten & Jack are so naturally caring. They describe themselves as adventurous too! The perfect recipe for their engagement shoot, embracing the elements and capturing some hazy spring-time sun 🌞

Kirsten & Jack are Fellow photographers ~ if you’re looking for a newborn photographer give them a shout at @kijacreatives

After spending this weekend fighting off a cold, I’m feeling a bit more creative again (hooray!) ~ I absolutely loved these windy shoots over on the Thanet Coast a couple of weeks ago. Both Botany Bay and & Minnis Bay are right on my doorstep, how lucky! And although it was blowing a gale ALL day, we came away with some beautiful photographs which lots of life and movement 🤘🏻🤍

Thanks again to Molly who joined me for work experience during that week - she shot these behind the scenes videos which is super appreciated!

Spring magic! ✨ Yesterday Kirsten & Jack (& Reggie the Frenchie) joined me for a wander at Minnis Bay. Now let me tell you, the weather was INTENSE. The wind was howling, the high tide was unusually high due to the spring tides and the sun was blazing. But when I saw the light gently dancing on the rising tide, I couldn’t resist a little play. Sometimes the most challenging conditions make you think outside the box. Thank you Kirsten & Jack for such a fun shoot, I can’t wait to work away on your gallery 🤘🏻

Meet this adorable baby camel! 🐪❤️ Did you know that baby camels are born without humps? They rely on their mothers for warmth and protection in the harsh desert. This little one is already full of curiosity and charm! ☀️✨

Capture a picturesque moment on the iconic staircase of Aretousa, whose winding path leads you up to the ancient Kazarma Fortress. The staircase, steeped in history and surrounded by the charm of Sitia, offers a captivating blend of culture and scenic beauty, perfect for a lasting photograph.

🌬Aretousa is a central character in the epic poem "Erotokritos" by Vitzentzos Kornaros. She is the beloved of the poem's protagonist, Erotokritos, and their love story forms the heart of the narrative.

📯🖋Aretousa is depicted as a beautiful and virtuous young woman who captures the heart of Erotokritos, a noble young man known for his courage and honor. Their love is portrayed as pure and enduring, overcoming various challenges and obstacles throughout the poem.

🕯Aretousa's character symbolizes ideals of love, beauty, and virtue within the context of Cretan society during the 17th century. She represents the object of Erotokritos' deep affection and serves as a muse for the poet's lyrical verses, highlighting themes of romantic devotion and fidelity.

An absolutely, wonderfully, relaxing negative printing session with Kirsten and Jack. Both photographers in work and play, Kirsten treated Jack to this private booking to celebrate his birthday (happy birthday Jack! ✨) ~ what better way to celebrate than to spend time together doing something new. If you’re looking to gift something that’s a bit different then have a look on my website for some private bookings to suit your schedules. ✨
