Our 2nd Art exhibition “all about love” at Sanctuary off 54 opens on February 14th from 5 to 9 pm. With our opening event we are reclaiming Valentine’s day to celebrate all forms of love as expressed by bell hooks in her heart & soul opening book, “all about love- New Visions”. All are welcome. Come as you are.

bell hooks wrote, “I write of love to bear witness both to the danger in this movement (away from love) and to call for a return to love. Redeemed and restored, love returns us to the promise of everlasting life. When we love we can let our hearts speak.”

This exhibit will showcase art that answers this call with creative works by artists: Chelsea Rose Amato, Joseph Pio Asterita, Jody Cassell, Lea Ciceraro, Mer Haggerty, Hannah Jewel, Frank Lane, Deborah Lee, steckley lee, Doran Marold, AnnE O’Neil, Chris Nygren & Nancy Sampson.

5 to 6:60 - communiTEA Party with refreshments and teas provided by West of the Moon Herbalism and Greenheart Healing Arts.

6:30 to 7 - Debbie the Artist will share their art in a live musical performance reflecting lived experiences of love, loss, magic and triumph as a non-binary Black-queer-feminist abolitionist whose music serves as medicine, voice and vision and a tool for social Justice and racial equity.

7:30 to 8 - band Ephemeral Stream will share their uplifting and soul soothing vocal poetry and music. With a fusion of genres, they share original songs channeled with intentions for appreciating life and balance often meander and flow in unique ways.

The rest of the evening will offer time to explore the art and company of all who gather in this time to answer the call to return to love.

The exhibit will run from February 14 to April 26, 2025 with live creative events taking place on select weekends during this time.
