The numbers are in: a record-breaking $6.2 million raised for Meals on Wheels San Francisco. 💚 We were honored to play a small part in such an extraordinary evening and community effort. Our ranch stay and dining experience with James Beard Award-winning chef Stuart Brioza (of State Bird Provisions, The Anchovy Bar, and The Progress) raised $110,000 to support Meals on Wheels San Francisco and its mission to nourish and care for seniors throughout the city. A special thank you to @atomicstew, @stonestreetwinery, and @mayacama for partnering with us on this experience. We can’t wait to welcome guests to the ranch for an unforgettable foraging dinner inspired by the land and a few days full of rest and connection. We’re grateful to everyone who bid, donated, volunteered, and helped make the evening such a success, as well as the chefs, vintners, teams, sponsors, and fellow organizations whose generosity and hard work made the night one to remember. Congratulations to the @mowsf team on a remarkable event, and thank you for the important work you do every day!

Great food always brings people together, and this evening did exactly that ✨   The Star Chefs & Vintners Gala was an incredible event dedicated to benefiting the Bay Area senior community. @mowsf is a nonprofit organization providing meals for older adults who have difficulty preparing food for themselves.   Star chefs presented incredible dishes with quality ingredients, all in support of this outstanding cause. We’re proud to sponsor an evening that brought the community together in such an impactful way.   Featured Chefs and Purveyors ✨ @theanchovybar — Chef Tif Thomasz @superprime.sf — Chef Shanna Vatsaloo @sprucerestaurantsf — Chef Aubree Arndt   Learn more about Meals on Wheels SF at www.mowsf.org

<Swipe to see how we got here> This weekend, we were honored to support @mowsf for their annual #mowsfgala . We brought our enormous slicer and served hundreds of cones of our house-cured ham with cold butter and salt. Special shout out to this painted pig, originally fashioned by @chefmagidow ‘s dad. 🐖🤍

The calm before the storm. Chefs, too numerous to mention them all, came together again for @mowsf annual #starchefsgala on Sunday to donate their time and skills. These plating lines only represent a portion of the talent brought together to raise money so that no senior in San Francisco is left behind. @oakes_nancy was the chef chair for decades and now in his second year @atomicstew leads the charge. @misterjius @cotogna_sf @richtable @sonsanddaughterssf @sorrelrestaurant @sprucerestaurantsf @lazybearsf @ernest.sf @sun_moon_studio_ only a small drop if the folks that brought it. The #somm team stood 55 strong serving #napa and #sonoma’s best wines with the meals. @stevelegato came in and shot the 28 plates served to 650 patrons. Amazing.

Our Chief Caviar Queen, @thecaviarqueen Deborah Keane, had a beautiful evening at the Meals on Wheels gala this past Sunday at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. We love supporting this meaningful event and partnering with The Oyster Girls and Meals on Wheels for such an important cause. It was wonderful to see so many incredible chefs and restaurants representing, including Saison, and more. A night of great food, community, and purpose.

What were YOU up to this weekend? Here’s our 6 pics🤠 @itsmarcusd 1. Paid a visit to Pomponio Ranch on the Coastside to check in with my guys Chris and Rodger and grab some meats! 2. Emceed the S.F. Chefs and Vintners Gala at Fort Mason to help raise money for Meals on Wheels SF! What a magical night! 3. Made my world-famous Instant Pot Beef Barbacoa with my fresh Pomponio Ranch beef! Recipe below! Instant Pot Barbacoa • 3 lb boneless chuck roast, cut into large chunks • 1 tbsp neutral oil • 1 small onion, chopped • 4 cloves garlic • 2 chipotles in adobo + 1 tbsp adobo sauce • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar • Juice of 1 lime • 1 tsp cumin • 1 tsp oregano • ½ tsp smoked paprika • ¼ tsp ground cloves • ⅔ cup beef broth • Salt + pepper • 2 bay leaves DIRECTIONS: Season beef with salt and pepper. Set Instant Pot to sauté and sear beef on all sides until deeply browned. Remove. Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook 2–3 minutes. Stir in chipotles, adobo, cumin, oregano, paprika, and cloves. Add vinegar and lime juice, scraping up all the browned bits. Pour in broth. Return beef to pot with bay leaves. Pressure cook on HIGH for 70 minutes, then natural release for 15 minutes. Remove beef and shred. Simmer sauce on sauté mode for 5–10 minutes until slightly reduced, then toss beef back into the sauce. Serve on warm corn tortillas with onion, cilantro, lime, and an optional sliced jalapeno. @taylovee 1. My baby brother graduated from Cal State Monterey Bay!! So proud of him🧑‍🎓📚 2.
