What a powerful picture for me : nuns visiting my exhibition at @moya.museum, standing in front of my crucifix paintings in this church space, their appearance echoing my sculptures.

BALANCING PEBBLES TOTEM H 190 -230 cm

Using large robotic arms, Osiris has pebbles woven, which he stacks like a pile of balancing stones.
The surface of the pebbles has a woven structure, just as baskets were made by craftsmen in the past; Hertman now has enormous robotic arms swing up and down and he throws the colored granules into the melting pot by feel.

Installation views of my space for the large group show BOUNDLESS at @moya.museum .

Text of the museum :
For this exhibition, Julien Jaca draws on Christian symbolism in a new body of work. His use of cardboard creates a large cross at the centre of his paintings, referring to the religious history of the museum building. Alongside these paintings, he presents sculptures made from vintage hoodies and resin. The resin preserves the worn and weathered quality of the hoodies, transforming the soft material into solid, sculptural forms that subtly evoke the robes worn by monks. Together with Bob Geerts, Jaca pays tribute to the history and architecture of the former Sint-Antonius Church, drawing on their shared background as tattoo artists.

On view until Feb 28th 2027 in Oosterhout, Netherlands.

Japanese Temple Geometry 2
75x75 cm On show @MOYA

Japan was secluded from the rest of the world for over 400 years.
This made them evolve a completely different geometry system.
Here the small circle is 1/3rd in size from the big one.
The top of the circle is dead center in the work.
That’s a lot of rules, but makes a balanced work.
