Kerwee Feedlot shared its innovative, leading approach to running a feedlot with our current ABL Program cohort for day two of our supply-chain tour. From methane trials to the science of feed composition, to managing inputs and the brilliant team culture they’ve built, there were so many take-aways. #kerweebeef @stockyardbeef #advancingbeefleaders #feedlot #supplychain #beefindustry

A great evening, joined by Andrew Walker, Rabobank’s Deputy Regional Manager, Southern QLD in Toowoomba for a dinner with our 2026/2027 Advancing Beef Leaders Program cohort. And wonderful to have Melanie Graham, who is a Senior Rural Manager at Rabobank and a mentor in this year’s ABL mentoring program. These ABL emerging leaders are in the middle of a supply-chain tour, immersing themselves in the journey beef makes from paddock to plate. @rabobankaustralia #advancingbeefleaders #ablfoundation

Huge thanks to JBS Dinmore for kicking-off the Advancing Beef Leaders Program supply chain tour. For the next 2 days, the 2026/2027 cohort will be immersed in the deepest details of meat finishing, processing and markets. They get incredible access Australia’s beef businesses and facilities and talk to experts who generously share their knowledge about each piece of the puzzle. We started in Brisbane, and now head for Toowoomba… @jbsaussiebeef #advancingbeefleaders #meatprocessing #beefindustry #ablfoundation

Last week I had the absolute pleasure of trying, purchasing and meeting the maker of a new gin! And it’s a ripper! Highly recommend! And the story is great too! Made from Scottish roots in Aussie soil. And if the story doesn’t capture you - the female founder and the design work will! Massive congrats @playfairgin A beautiful story and a beautiful human underpinning a beautiful gin. Thanks for intro @mphhamilton #fromthistletotipple K 🍸🤎

🕧 The year’s already over half-way done, and it’s been a big half. Last month we gathered in Darwin to welcome a brand-new Advancing Beef Leaders Program cohort and celebrate the graduation of another. Looking back through the camera roll, we’re reminded just how special those few days were. Much of what we deliver happens through a screen, via the (sometimes) wing-and-a-prayer of our rural internet connections. It’s part of what makes this 12-month program so flexible and do-able. But it also makes those opportunities to connect face-to-face all the more valuable. One of the intentional parts of the ABL Program is that each cohort begins their first module alongside the outgoing cohort as they complete their final one. The ice is broken, friendships begin, and a wider network across the Australian beef industry grows. 🌱The ABL Program is often the first leadership development program someone experiences. It’s a jumping-off point to build skills, confidence and lasting connections, and can open the door to many more opportunities in agriculture. We’re incredibly proud of our participants, alumni, facilitators, mentors, sponsors and supporters. Together, we’re growing a remarkable community of leaders committed to making a positive difference in their businesses, communities and our industry. 🐂And for the second half of the year? Our 2026/27 cohort are already flying, our alumni are leading, running properties, appearing as speakers and often working as founders of exciting projects and businesses. We’re excited for everything still to come. 📷 By the talented @kaydelehman_official   #AdvancingBeefLeaders #Leadership #AustralianAgriculture #BeefIndustry #EmergingLeaders @rabobankaustralia @meatandlivestockaustralia @agforceqld @fitzroybasinassociation @qldagriculture

There’s a lot of concentration on these faces! 👀 Our current Advancing Beef Leaders Program cohort has just wrapped up their first module, Understanding Self and Others, which is delivered by ABL alum, Kasmin Brotherton @inner.boss From their first session together a few weeks back in Darwin, to the module’s Zoom conclusion last week, they’ve been diving into self-awareness, exploring their DISC profiles, and getting curious about why we all think, communicate and show up differently. It’s the first module of the program for a reason. Understanding ourselves, and better understanding others, lays the foundation for leadership in any setting. We’re cheering this cohort on and can’t wait to watch them keep growing, learning and challenging themselves over the months ahead. 🌱 #AdvancingBeefLeaders #LeadershipDevelopment #EmergingLeaders #AustralianAgriculture #BeefIndustry RuralLeadership SelfAwareness LeadershipJourney

When your mum works in the beef industry, it’s only fair she heads to the kids’ city daycare and talks all things beef and steak! 👏🏼 hats off to Madeleine Martel (@mphamilton) for educating Gigi and Archie’s childcare on beef! What ripper activities 🐮

Hello 2024 🎉 I’ve spent the best part of the past 2 weeks off technology and off socials - and I’ve loved it. It’s given me time to reflect on the year gone by and, to dream and to plan for the year ahead. Last year my word was Reinvention because I wanted to be known for something other than video. I wanted to have more impact. And I wanted to start a whole new business building, supporting and celebrating women. It was so much harder than I imagined, but it was oh so very rewarding. As I wrapped the business model that has served me well for the past decade I simultaneously started The Champagne Lounge and welcomed 65 members into the community. I also… 🥂 Roadshowed in 4 different locations 🥂 Hosted my first retreat 🥂 Hosted 8 Business Uncorked dinners 🥂 Spoke for @tmd_marketingdept @womeninstrata and @businesschicks 🥂 Visited New Zealand (twice), Port Douglas, Byron Bay and the UK 🥂 Met and made some incredible new friends 🥂 Added Marmite to our family 🥂 Made the front page of the @mudgeeguardian 🥂 Hosted @recipe_tin at the @mudgeereaders festival 🥂 Met my new niece Freya 🥂 Spent so much more time out in nature 🥂 Spent quality time with friends 🥂 Built an amazing community There were a few goals I didn’t hit last year and a few bottles of celebratory champagne remain unopened, but I won’t let that direct away from the success of my reinvention. New goals have been set and new post-it notes applied. I’m ready for all of it!! So hello 2024. This is my year to ACCELERATE. To grow our amazing community and reach more incredible regional, rural and remote business women across Australia. Do you have a word for the year ahead? Share it below so that I can cheer you on! Cheers to making this year your best yet 🥂
