To be seen is to be loved and boy do I feel that after this weekend. I’ve never been a huge birthday person. Bouncing around as a kid meant my birthday was never a huge affair and I learned to play down the celebration. It was always something small, something relaxed. For my 30th I decided that I wanted something different. I wanted to bring everyone I cared about together to bring in this new decade that I am beyond excited for. I was blessed enough to have not only 2 friends fly in but 30+ people from different stages and parts of my life come together to laugh, drink, and party. To everyone who came in person or spirit, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this weekend so special. Tried to tag as many people as possible but just know I love each and every one of you.

In the last seven years I’ve become dedicated to community. To show up even when it’s hard and embrace people where they’re at in life. I’ve learned and grown and this weekend reinforced my love for bringing people together.

My 20s were for learning and my 30s are going to be for living.

Girl on Our Mind (V5/4/6c/Vfun) flash⚡️Landed in Cape Town this morning after 50+ hours of travel, delayed flights, cancelled flights, and a whole lotta accepting of the situation 😂 Already in love with the sandstone and style of climbing here and so excited to call this place home for the next three weeks 🙃🌈

Red Herring (V7/7a+) Tbh, felt harder than V7 😂 Rage sent this thing after a million tries. Was so convinced it would be an easy send coming back to it, but boy was I wrong 😂 thanks to my new friends @https_a._.j and @spence.schmick for the stellar spots, especially on the tall slab top out and to @mqtran and @godsfavoritelilprincess for the initial stoke 🙃 Also, this song was stuck in my head all day yesterday hehe

Steep Grades, Sharp Curves (V5/6c+) Genuinely had so much fun on this little crimp line! Great day out at Lincoln with some old and new friends 🙃 also, big thanks to the friendly strangers that let me hop in real quick AND spotted me while I did some solo exploring of Lincoln climbs ✨ P.S. this song lives rent free in my head every day 😂

Love Matters (V8/9/7b+/c) I’m taking the slashed grading for this one, it’s tough as nails! It only took me 4 months and 6 sessions to put this bad boy down 😂. Honestly, this climb ended up being extremely mentally challenging for me as it required consistency and precision over several moves along with a specifically daunting lock off high foot crux for me. Coming into it with a care-free attitude on Friday is ultimately what made it happen for me 🙃 Thanks to all the people I’ve dragged out to this Boulder ❤️❤️ On to the next project!!
