POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Lunch with some of the most genuine gentlemen you’ll ever meet. One of them said, “I PRAY my son finds a friend group like this” as he is preparing him for his college sendoff in a week. I have that same prayer for his son and my own who’ll be doing the same thing this time next year.

This is a small but healthy portion of the guys I built a lifelong bond with as we began adulthood. We lived on a street together called, “Spring Place”, a neighborhood of townhomes we occupied as we were wrapping up our last year (or two) of college. We’ve seen each other at our worst. We’ve held each other up. We celebrate the men we are today as a result. Can honestly say I’m proud of all these men. Keep going, bros. 💪🏽🙏🏽🤞🏽🔒

A wedding. Full of brothers bonded by life’s ups, downs, ins, outs, twists, and turns. From that brotherhood on a street where we shared two twonhouses, learning how to be men, came extended family members - sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, Pops and Moms, with no official bloodline to share. What we do share is a life walk that brought us together over 20 years ago, and that path birthed the event you see. It was rich, near perfect, had some uncertainties along the way, but most importantly, there was no one to bury the entire time.

LIFE is precious.

So many stories to tell and share from years past, but you just had to be there to grasp many of them.

Congrats LaBrent & Lucy. What a beautiful ceremony.

To my Spring Place brothers, Houston & Dallas homeys, & everything in between…until next time. Soon. 🥂
