New NSW syllabuses for HSIE, Science, PDHPE and Creative Arts. So what's changed, and what's mandatory?

Aaron Johnston (@mr.j.learning.space), Deputy Principal and founder of Mr J's Learning Space, explains the structure, intent and mandatory requirements of each syllabus, then takes you through the essential content and outcomes for each KLA. You'll finish with practical, ready-to-use strategies and assessment ideas aligned to the new outcomes.

It's 2.5 hours, online, for K-6 teachers, and it counts towards NSW PD hours.

New on ClassCover Learn and included in a membership. Start through the link in bio.

One of the perks of cohosting the @teachertakeawaypodcast is getting to sit down to chat with lots of different people about all things education.

Today was a special one as Aaron, Bec and I chatted with the Honourable Prue Car - @pruecarmp about the power of public education. I cannot wait for the episode to drop really soon 💙🎙

Still taking it all in 🌸💛🦋💐

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to The Long Lunch. Seeing a room full of educators eating, laughing, sharing stories and just enjoying themselves was the best!

Thank you to our incredible panel, the beautiful businesses who supported the day, and to my mum who is always there behind the scenes helping me bring these ideas to life.

The Staffroom Social was created to give teachers something that’s just for us, and yesterday felt exactly like that.

So grateful to everyone who was part of it. 🌼

What an incredible event! 🐾💜

We were so excited to be part of the Teacher Long Lunch—a beautiful afternoon celebrating educators and the passion they bring to supporting children every day.

A huge thank you to Staffroom Social for creating such a fun, inspiring and joy-filled event. Pawsitive Kids felt incredibly lucky to be included! 🧡

🌸Okay teachers, we’re getting close now 🌸🥂

One of my favourite things about The Long Lunch so far? We’ve got people coming with their teacher besties AND people coming completely on their own, and I absolutely love that. 🥹💕

Come as you are, grab a seat at the table and spend the afternoon eating, chatting, laughing and meeting some new faces.

When your Dad is the effervescent @mr.j.learning.space who LOVES Book Week, you want your own turn at contributing at Book Week! We were so happy when Dad shared this picture with us to share with our beautiful Book Week Costume loving community.

Here we have 2 favourite characters:
Rey from 'Star wars The Force Awakens: Reys Story 🌟
Claudia from 'Unicornia: Learning to Fly" 🦄

Don't they great as their characters. They would also be comfortable in their Book Week Costume all day!! Winning!

We hope you girls had a wonderful Book Week stealing the limelight off Dad for a quick minute.

I’ve been busy creating individual resource packs ready for September! Going to take some training but I’m hoping these will make a HUGE difference in independence and progress across literacy ✍️ Thanks to @thepowerfulplayteachers @mr.j.learning.space @stabilouk @twinklresources @widgitsoftware @sentencescience_teaching for the provision of resources or inspiration!! What do you think? Am I missing anything? Maths packs, incoming ➕ #literacy #yearone #writing #teacher #education
