📣Big Shout Outs to📣
🛠️Chris of @corsi.construction & Kim @soulfirefoodevents for working with us for MONTHS designing shelving around donations with extreme creativity, flexibility, and determination to make it work & EXCEEDED any prior imaginings of our big shelf wall dreams! Thank you for lending your time, knowledge, for directing the crew and teaching us SO MANY new skills with patience and kindness!
🚧 PLEASE like/share/follow/contact @corsi.construction for any and all of your construction/woodworking needs!!!

🪵To @fullmoonfarmnc for the lumber to make these shelves—donated in memory of Robert Sox❤️

🌿To @b.a.dcomposting / @bbbotanist / @thetoddmercantile / @einlif (& others, DM or comment for a shout out, my brains a useless stew right now!) for donating additional lumber (and a slew of other essential miscellaneous materials and supplies😂❤️‍🔥) for our produce & art shelves ~coming soon!

🤲🏽& a huge big phat THANK YOU to the CREW—all the hands involved in sanding, sawing, glueing, nailing, whacking, twisting & bopping. This co-op is a WE project, & the connections/community that’s blossomed in our prepubescence is both promising and exciting! WE’RE REALLY DOIN THIS THANG YALL!

Introducing the new executive chef @fire_chef_matthew at @hotelembers !!! Though he may be a humble artíst, we’d love to brag on some of the dishes he’s created with Boone Fungi mushrooms—which we had the honor and privilege of taste testing last night!

🍄‍🟫 Mushroom paté, with grilled baguette (vegetarian, yet has an uncanny resemblance to the texture and richness of traditional paté…we may or may not have indulged in this divine, decadent, luxurious treat, yet again, for breakfast!)

🍄‍🟫 Next: Home made ricotta cavatelli with our pink and blue oyster mushrooms, along with local arugula and parmesan.

🍄‍🟫 Lastly, (and this has nothing to do with mushrooms I just had to shed light upon this heavenly curation) S’mores—with a dense bread pudding consistency interwoven with chocolate swirls that meld into pockets of lava cake-like ooey gooey melty goodness just like hidden treasure awaiting your spoon to find it!

We couldn’t be more elated to collaborate with a remarkable chef and pal, who treats cuisine with a passion and pureness that unearths his unequivocal purpose—to cook. For any and all lucky enough to cross his path.

Thank you, Chef🤌🏼👨🏻‍🍳💋

Chronicles of our first Farmers Market!
With Chip as our Mushroom Mentor (favorite uncle, mad scientist, & guru), he’s been walking us through all the delicate, meticulous, and magical steps of mushroom cultivation. The sheer amount of respect we have for his years of research, trial and error, and perfecting the craft are insurmountable—especially now that we have a full understanding of the time, effort, dedication, and love that goes into the art of being mushroom parents. We are honored to be trained by one of the communities most respected fungi’s. Thank you for the convos, laughter, and the warm welcome, sweet Boone! 🍄❤️🍄‍🟫

🎈Some 2021 Highlights🎈
...................

My heart goes out to everyone who had a challenging 2021.
However, through all the unfavorable national, global, climatic, and health occurrences this year —I’ve noticed a lot of unity through adversity, mobilization, and advocacy. This has provided me with glimmers of hope, especially in the realm of social and environmental justice.

All that being said, I hate to admit it in the midst of these shambles, but this has been my favorite year in terms of personal growth. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded with such abundant love, fruitful hobbies, inspiring musicians (u know who u are), passionate educators, and ofc rich soil.
Alright there goes my qualms and my blessings. Bada-bing, Bada-boom

Super awesome and cool and rad and dope🍻
