PATRON PERFECTIONISTS 2022💚 I still can’t believe that I was so blessed and highly flavoured to be able to compete in the PATRÓN Perfectionists program earlier this year against the most talented and STUNNING bartenders from around the world at the Hacienda PATRÓN. I made so many memories with people I now get to call family. The level of hospitality that every competitor brought was so true to themselves and I am so proud of every single one of us for showing the world who we are and what we bring to this industry. It was an emotional roller coaster from when we got the brief all the way through to the end and I am so grateful for all of the ups and downs I went through before during and after competition that have allowed me to become an even better person and bartender. If I were to go through all of it again, I would do it in a heartbeat. I will forever be grateful to my competitors, judges, brand ambassadors and PATRÓN for creating such an open and supportive space for me to be myself and allow me to grow into a better bartender and better human. A good dose of fun and a fabulous addition to this year’s Patrón Perfectionists experience at the Hacienda: hello Speed Rack! Behind the laughs and costumes, there’s a serious intention: to raise money and awareness for breast cancer charities. All funds raised from last night’s ‘challenge’ will go to local charities here in Mexico and will be added to the $1.5m raised from Speed Rack competitions over the years - including one very personal and dear to our hearts. Andrea Benvegna, giudice d'onore Benvegna, nato a Diano Marina in Liguria nel 1991, si è fatto le ossa nel mondo lavorando, nella stagione estiva, nel locale di famiglia nei pressi del confine francese. Nel 2011 si è trasferito a Londra dove ha lavorato per cinque anni al Connaught Bar accanto ad Ago Perrone. Successivamente, ha trascorso un anno a New York per l'apertura del 432 Park Avenue Condominium, dopodiché è tornato a Londra, dove è stato chiamato da Walter Pintus per dirigere la miscelazione dei quattro bar dell'hotel The Mandrake. Benvegna ha rappresentato il Regno Unito nella competizione Havana Grand Prix a Cuba e nel 2023 ha vinto l'edizione italiana di Patrón Perfectionist.
