This is where we go after the long road in.
Once the trucks are parked up, everything comes down to what you can carry and what you can trust. Out here, reliability matters, and there isn’t much room for gear that can’t handle the country, the demanding weather or the time in the elements.
That’s why @nightforceanz feels like such a natural fit with what I do.
Rugged. Reliable. Repeatable. Not just words, but qualities that matter when you’re a long way from home and there may only be one opportunity to get it right.
Hunting has taken me into some of the most remote and humbling places I’ve experienced. Places you have to earn your way into, where success is never guaranteed.
And when everything eventually comes down to one moment, you want absolute confidence in what sits between you and it.
Because sometimes the most memorable part of the hunt isn’t the shot.
It’s where it takes you to get there.

The part of my job you see is the end result:
The stunning scenes and product in action.
What you don’t usually see is everything that is crucial to make those frames happen. The early starts, long drives, my partner and friends involved, the planning, battling with weather and vehicles that love to throw a fit a week out from leaving… And lots of coffee.
But above all of that, it is my heart and soul that is attached to creating those frames. I’m not out here doing this just because it pays the bills, I’m out here because I love it to the core of my being and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, and because I genuinely believe in what I point my camera at. Things have been looking a little different around here because they are, I’m proud to be part of @_lightforce and @nightforceanz; built by people who love, live and breathe this lifestyle just as much as I do. I’m excited to be part of something that has such deep roots in the industry I love, and the stories that I am going to be able to capture and share along the way.
It’s more than just creating content, it’s about the ability to share the world with you as I see, hear and feel it.
I just hope that when you find yourself in these places you stop and soak in the magic.

19 days out. Still fighting for PRs. Just over double bodyweight on the hack squat for 10 for tonight’s top set.

If it’s one thing I’m thankful from all the coaches I’ve had guide me around since 2020 it’s instilling straight up hard work and grit in the hard sets. Till the wheels fall off old dog mentality!

Loving Hack Squats in this phase and I feel like I’ll love them even more post show as the cals climb again!

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT 🚨

At Ultra Wanaka 2026, we had some pretty awesome people compete. While each individual on course had their own story, their own 'why' - these are some of the most inspiring.

Introducing Tyler Simpson "All gas, no brakes." 🏋‍♀

From dominating the platform as a two-time New Zealand’s Strongest Man champion to stepping onto the trails at Ultra Wānaka, Tyler is proving that growth comes from embracing the unknown.

After 15 years dedicated to strength sport, Tyler decided it was time for something completely different, endurance running. “15 year's of strength I felt like a new challenge and running seems to be very challenging and rewarding at the same time.”

What started as a simple idea quickly became a commitment. “I had an idea, I booked the race, I put in the work, I executed.” Trading heavy lifts for long miles isn’t an easy transition, but Tyler embraced every part of the process - the training, the discipline and the challenge of race day itself.

And after crossing the finish line at Ultra Wānaka, one thing was clear: this is only the beginning. Tyler told us that Ultra Wanaka is an "awesome event and great for first timers like me to get a feel of race day.”

Tyler’s story is a reminder that it’s never too late to try something new, test your limits and discover a different kind of strength. 🏃💪
