Yesterday I completed the Saucony London 10K. Although i wasn’t running in support of a specific charity I wanted to use the opportunity to raise awareness for something that’s incredibly personal to my family.

A month ago, on 11th June, a devastating fire destroyed the creative studios at Oxgate House in North West London. Among those who lost everything was my cousin, Jojo, founder of Anwobo.

In hours seven years of hard work disappeared. His studio, specialist equipment, stock, artwork, samples and the foundations of his business were all destroyed.

Time has moved on and the news isnt arent as hard hitting butthe reality for those affected is still the same. They’re rebuilding.

If you’d like to support Jojo directly, I’ve linked his GoFundMe in my bio. Every donation, no matter the size, will help him rebuild Anwobo.

Support doesn’t have to be financial, either. Introductions, industry connections, donated tools, materials, fabric, unwanted clothing that can be repurposed—or simply sharing this post—can all make a real difference.

Jojo also wasn’t alone. Ive included accounts ive come across that also ran business in the space and even they are just a handful of the many talented creatives and small businesses affected by the fire. Check them out and If you come across any others, please show them some love too. A follow, a share, a purchase, or a donation all help these businesses rebuild—not just financially, but by restoring the visibility they rely on.

My Watch Story

This watch belonged to my father.
He passed away in 2013, but I’ve worn it every day since.

Every tick reminds me of him, his laugh, his advice, the quiet strength he carried, and now, it carries me.

I’ve worn it on stages and in rooms that once felt out of reach.
On the PAY360 Awards stage, on the RiseUp stage at Money20/20 Europe, and sitting at tables in the Houses of Commons.

I was breaking down doors as the first of my kind, speaking up as someone autistic and with Down syndrome, making sure inclusion and representation aren’t just words but action.

Time is strange. It can feel heavy, fleeting, or impossible to control, yet this watch reminds me that every moment counts.
Every second is a chance to carry forward what matters, to leave doors open for those who come next.

One day, I hope to wear the Cartier Tank Must de Cartier Limited Edition “Art Deco” Ref 1614, a new piece of my story — a reminder that, as Cartier says, “A watch is not just a measure of time, it is a memory of the past and a promise for the future.”
