Congratulations to Brother Mark Ross Jr on his Grand Achievement.

Upon graduating Cum Laude from Morehouse College with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics, Bro. Ross will begin his professional journey as a Software Engineer at Google in Boulder, Colorado. He plans to bridge the gap between high level software engineering and sophisticated financial market operations, with the long term goal of building his own venture within the fintech and asset management space.

While on campus, Bro. Ross served as Chief Intelligence Officer of Club IO (2023-2024) and Project Developer for the Morehouse Tech Collective (2025-2026). He was a CodeHouse Scholar (2022-2026) and also a member of the Advanced Coding Collective (2024-2026), the National Society of Black Engineers (2023-2026), the Soccer Club (2023-2025), and the Chess Club (2024-2026). Bro. Ross completed three consecutive Google internships with the Gmail and Groups team (Summer 2025), Google Drive (Summer 2024), and YouTube Ads Infrastructure (Summer 2023), and was selected as a panelist for a Google.org team visit to discuss AI in Education. He was a Target Hackathon winner (2024), placed 2nd in Division 2 of the ICPC Southeast Region (November 2025), and led Morehouse College's team to 1st Place ($25,000) at the 2025 HBCU Battle of the Brains, with the College also securing 3rd Place ($10,000) in 2024.

We’re so proud of our second cohort of CodeHouse Scholars as they’ve accomplished so much throughout the 2022-2023 academic school year. Good luck to these talented students as they prepare for their second year of college and will take over the tech industry soon!
