From inspiring conversations and practical sessions to powerful insights from leading songwriters, composers and industry experts, the Summit once again brought the global music community together for a day of knowledge sharing, connection and creativity at the BFI IMAX.

Across discussions on creative rights, technology, the craft of songwriting and the future of music-making, we were proud to champion the voices and value of songwriters and composers at every stage of their careers.

A special thank you to all of our speakers, attendees, contributors and sponsors - Believe Music Publishing, Downtown Music Publishing, Meta, Music Services, Musixmatch, The MLC and TikTok - for making the day so memorable.

I can’t tell you how many birthdays I’ve spent in bed over the last 10 years 🛌 This is literally the first birthday I’ve celebrated outside of my house with my friends in 10 bloody years 😮 Sonny bought me the jumper I’m wearing today as a birthday present 🎁 (my fav basketball player The Greek Freak @giannis_an34 🇬🇷) It’s symbolic because 34 also happens to be the age I was the last time I went out for a meal with my friends 🍽️ Thanks to everyone who made it 🙌 it felt surreal to say the least. I’m still far from being able to call myself fully healed, but to anyone out their still stuck indoors celebrating their birthdays from their bed… KEEP THE FAITH 🙏 I’ve had this illness as bad as you can get it, if I can get to this point SO CAN YOU 👍 #chronicillness #mecfs #cfsme #progressnotperfection #birthday

Kicking the doors of 2024 wide open ; Congratulations to the wonderful @thelastdinnerparty who have this morning been announced as the winners of the @bbcradio1 Sound Of 2024. An incredible achievement for the band who only released their debut single in April last year. This also comes only weeks after they won the @brits #risingstar award; making them the only guitar group to have achieved the double win..
.
Big up Management and all the incredible teams who work across this, plus a huge shout out to @islandrecordsuk and the extended Island Records family around the world who have all given their full support.
.
And lastly ; THANK YOU to each and everyone of our lovely industry friends who came to gigs , played and playlisted them last year and who then went on to vote for them. Your support is greatly appreciated.
.
Team @islandrecordsuk : 2024 here we come !
