POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

WHAT A NIGHT! 2-0 at UFC Dana White’s Contender Series!

I couldn’t be more proud of these two men and honored to step into battle alongside them.

@luis_francischinelli walked into my gym four years ago with a dream of fighting in the UFC. A tall kickboxer with no grappling experience, barely spoke English, and couldn’t stop a takedown to save his life. (Joking)

Four years later, seven knockouts and a complete transformation into a well rounded MMA fighter, he earned his UFC contract! A dream worked toward together from day one.

This camp was filled with adversity. Injuries, the birth of his daughter, and unexpected challenges at home. He had every reason not to fight, but he pushed through it all. Tonight he showed what it means to be a true champion, both inside the cage and in life. Congratulations, my brother! You earned this!

@erickvisconde.mma is an absolute MONSTER!

This man made weight TWICE in two weeks to face arguably the toughest opponent of the entire DWCS season. An undefeated world champion kickboxer, 9-0 with nine finishes.

Erik went out and put on a grappling masterclass against an extremely dangerous opponent. Unfortunately, the UFC contract didn’t come tonight, but he proved he belongs there. AGAIN!

A contract doesn’t define that performance or the fighter you’ve become. We know where you belong, and we’re not stopping until we get there. So proud of you, brother!

As a coach, there is nothing more rewarding than watching the people you believe in overcome adversity and prove to themselves what they’re capable of.

“NOTHING CHANGES. FOLLOW THE PLAN.”

None of this happens alone. Thank you to our coaches and teammates for the countless hours and sacrifices that made these camps possible.

Thank you to my wife, our @cmmafitness staff, and all our incredible students for showing up, tuning in, and supporting these men.

Special thank you to @guilherme_guimma and @angel_verduzco96 for the great corner work and preparation. Could not have done it without you.

Proud of these men. Proud of our team. Proud of what we’re building at CMMA. Much more to come!

WE DID THIS TOGETHER!

No Escape. (Post Fight Interview)
The mission was accomplished, but the Respect
was always real.
Like I said in my post-fight interview, I believe in giving respect where it’s earned. Much respect to Vlasto Čepo for accepting the challenge and sharing the Octagon. As someone who’s built the Rio Grande Bad Boy name, I understand standing behind what you’ve built.
Belgrade, thank you for the energy.
The journey continues. 🇺🇸🇷🇸🤝

Mission accomplished. ✅🏆

A night filled with overcoming adversity, a KO, and a NEW @lfafighting World Champion.

@luis_francischinelli returned to the cage after the first loss of his career while battling through an emotional camp, getting sick during fight week, a brutal weight cut, and being dropped in round 1. He stayed composed, made the right adjustments, and landed one of the nastiest knees I’ve ever seen for the round 2 KO.

@visconde faced an undefeated 10-0 world class striker and broke his hand in the first minute of the fight. He still pushed forward for 24 more minutes with one hand, landing shots, fighting for takedowns, and earning a split decision to become the NEW LFA World Champion.

We always talk about the voices that show up during fights. Not when things are easy....when everything goes wrong. In those moments, you have to make a choice.

Proud of these athletes, our team, and our coaches. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes, and to LFA @edsoarespro @markbierilfa @svenbean for continuing to give these fighters opportunities at the highest level.

Big shoutout to @romanpugafighter on the flying armbar win at @f2wbjj as well.

Now it’s time to get home to my wife and boys.

Daddy’s coming home. 😘

LETS GO!!!

@sonderromero gets it done at @upnextfighting and advances to 4-0 as a pro! 3 rounds of back and forth fight against a super tough opponent with 1 hell of a chin. Congrats Nino on a great performance and excited to keep seeing you improve. Back to lab we go. Big thanks to the corner, coaches, team and the Buckner family for another great event.
