🌈✨ A little longer to get lost in the colors.

Floating above Block 3 in Skyline Park in downtown Denver, “Skyline Drift” transforms the park into a living canvas, with ribbons of color shifting and swaying overhead with every passing breeze. 🌬️

@downtowndenver & @denverarts are proud to present, “Skynets Over Downtown” by Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics part of our signature Skynet Art Series.

There are only a couple of weeks left to experience this artwork before it floats away on November 8. If you haven’t visited yet, now’s the time to see it in motion. 💫

Built for the Wind🌀

Wind has always been one of the most interesting collaborators in our work.

On the playa, you can’t control it. You have to build with it.

That meant learning how structures moved, how materials behaved, how quickly conditions could change, and when to stop fighting the environment and start responding to it.

Those lessons continue to influence the way Poetic Kinetics approaches kinetic art today.

From early @burningman experiments to our Skynet Art Series, to our artwork “Vanishing Points”, wind has never just been an obstacle. It’s part of the artwork.

Take a look behind the scenes of how we built “Vanishing Points” to harness the wind💨
