BLAST FROM THE PAST!

With due respect to the always great response and dear appreciation — another peek behind the curtain and into our treasured collection of antiques and tools of our craft.

Today’s lovely piece is another one from our vast collection of antique fashion prints, books and catalogs — with this being a perfectly intact print from the famous French fashion illustrator Marcel Jaques Hemjic (1894 - 1942).

Legendary Fashion Designer Paul Poiret’s personal illustrator, he further contributed to several established fashion magazines — and, was the designer of many a brilliant posters.

Thus, and on the occasion of the wedding of a dear friend today:

Let us, with this wonderful piece of art, salute the beauty and elegance in dressing culture of these bygone days — and, the sartorial king of daytime wardrobe: the Morning Coat!
