Every writer wants their script to get noticed. But what actually makes a producer say yes? In this new two-part Stage 32 class, you go behind the scenes with producer Henry Hereford, who championed the story behind Andrea Riseborough's Oscar-nominated performance in TO LESLIE and has worked alongside acclaimed director David Fincher. Henry brings a rare view from both sides of the industry. You will learn exactly how producers evaluate scripts, pitches, and creative potential, and how to use that insight to strengthen your screenplay and sharpen your pitch. Across two interactive sessions, you will learn to deliver a compelling six-minute pitch, find the emotional hook that makes your script stand out, strengthen your opening pages, and understand what happens after a producer says yes, from notes and rewrites to packaging, attaching talent, and financing. You also walk away with six downloadable tools, including a Producer's Script Checklist, a Six-Minute Pitch Framework, and a Development Roadmap, plus session recordings and a private Lounge to keep learning after class ends. Class begins August 15. To secure your spot, email Edu@Stage32.com. What is the one thing you wish you knew about how producers really think? Tell us below. #screenwriting #filmmaking #screenwriter #pitching #stage32

Happening now: you have a producer's full attention for the next few hours! Henry Hereford, Producer and Film Executive at Fluffy Cat Productions and a producer on the Oscar-nominated TO LESLIE, is live in the Stage 32 Producing Lounge for an Ask Me Anything on receiving and applying executive feedback on your material. Which notes to take. Which to weigh and let go. What a pass actually means. How to apply feedback without losing your voice in it. Henry has sat on both sides of the table, as an actor in rooms with directors like David Fincher, and now as the producer reading your pages. The window closes tomorrow morning UK time. Drop your question while he is still answering. Link in bio! Not yet a Stage 32 member? Sign up free at Stage32.com to join this event and the July Filmmakers Club, in partnership with Blackmagic Design. Tag the creative sitting on a pile of notes right now. You got the notes back. Now what do you actually do with them? Henry Hereford, Producer and Film Executive at Fluffy Cat Productions and a producer on the Oscar-nominated TO LESLIE, is hosting a 24-hour Ask Me Anything on receiving and applying executive feedback on your material. Which notes to take. Which to weigh and set aside. What a pass actually means. How to tell the difference between feedback that serves your vision and feedback that would rewrite it. Henry has sat on both sides of the table, as an actor in rooms with directors like David Fincher, and now as the producer reading your pages. The AMA post is already available to leave your questions, link in our bio! Starts Wednesday, July 15, through the morning of Thursday the 16th UK time. Free in the Stage 32 Producing Lounge. Not yet a Stage 32 member? Sign up free at Stage32.com to join this event and the July Filmmakers Club, in partnership with Blackmagic Design. You will not book every job. The move every actor learns instead is to book the room. Producer and executive Henry Hereford says your pitch works exactly the same way. A producer can pass on this script and still walk away wanting your next one. That is not a failed pitch. That is the room remembering you. This week's July Filmmakers Club Blog Star, in partnership with Blackmagic Design, breaks it down: lead with the story instead of the setup, treat a producer's questions as the moment you are winning, and never let one comment card outweigh nineteen. The blog also outlines your three Week 3 challenges and this week's prize, a Stage 32 Career Development Call with the executive of your choice! Henry's full breakdown is live now. Link in bio. Save this before your next pitch, and tag the writer who needs it before theirs. What is the one thing you wish you knew before your first pitch? #screenwriting #filmpitching #independentfilm #screenwriterscommunity #filmmaking #stage32 #iamstage32 #Stage32FilmClub
