23 months ago I was invited onto @virginradiouk @chrisevanstfi breakfast show to talk about Hugo.

I was told that @mrjameslance was in that day. I had no idea who he was, but Hilary knew him from famous five and I was reliably informed that he was the great Trent Crimm from Ted Lasso.
Steve and I felt we needed to watch a few episodes to see what it was all about…..

Fast forward almost 2 years.

We’ve just sat and watched the 4th season of Ted Lasso and I’m in absolute bits.

Crying from start to finish - sad, happy, sad, happy again. They were all in it, the men’s team, the great Nate @nickmohammedy - even a character called HUGO (I swear that these signs give me life!)

Rebecca’s line ‘she died happy’

That’s one thing I take - Hugo died after the happiest day we could ever ask for.

@appletv Ted Lasso has literally given me so much since my son died - thank you ☺️

Now, can I please have happy too…..🤞🏻🦀🌈

@mrjameslance wore it better, but I do demand credit for commitment to the bit. There was cutting of hair involved, etc.

I had no idea @applebooks was releasing “The Richmond Way” to read and listen to for free!! I am obviously delighted and will be doing that immediately.

Season 4 of Ted Lasso is all out there now, and my heart is full. 💙 No spoilers in the comments, please!

I realized late in the game that I didn’t have a plan for my endpapers, so I made collages in Canva. I wanted the back of the book to represent some of the women who would be most excited about the women’s team.

This was also my first time working with a vinyl cutter. Many lessons learned! Did you know “Cricut” is pronounced like 🦗? I hate that, but it’s fine. I did not even use a Cricut machine for this, I don’t think. Anyway I really hope somebody likes this. Richmond ‘til we die!

The title of the book is, “The Richmond Way.” Text underneath the title reads, “The Unbelievable Season of a Football Underdog.” An illustration of a dog is underneath with text that reads, “A.F.C. Richmond.” At the bottom is the author’s name, “Trent Crimm.” On the side of the book cover is a black sticker that reads, “Ted Lasso Streaming on Apple TV.” The other side of the book has text that reads, “Exclusive Excerpt.”

Three years later and The Richmond Way is still growing. Any further suggestions Ted?

#TedLasso #AppleTV From Ted Lasso. An image of a hand holding a script. Text on the front page reads “The Lasso Way by Trent Crimm” and “Approx. 64,000 words” is in the top right. A note is written in blue sharpie reading “Great job Trent, I loved it!!”

Early seasons Trent has my heart 🥹 the way @mrjameslance perfectly captures Trent's exact feelings, the progression on his character is shown perfectly through many impeccable moments and it means seeing how happy he is in season 4 is even more refreshing 🥰🥹
