#tbt to August 2017 when I celebrated my 45th birthday at at our Final Purple Funk SF Days of Wild party of the summer.

1st Avenue Revue was the entertainment, and they went into this instrumental of Vanity 6’s “Nasty Girl.” None of the guys were going to sing it, and someone said “WHO KNOWS THE LYRICS?” and I got pushed on stage.

I’m not a singer, but I did what needed to be done, yo. Plus it was my birthday, so Y not? 😁

“That’s right, pleased to meet u!”

This has been MY JAM since 1982 when it came out and I was waaaaay too young to be singing it. 🙌🏾

Thank you to @mrmike1973 for capturing this moment in time lol
