One of the rarest pieces ive ever had in my possession. An original spider cam plate loaded nautilus pullover. A lot of ppl say they have the same pullover @thedorianyates used during the blood and guts footage (and they are not necessarily wrong, there are several pullovers generally referred to as gen 1)…. This, however, is the exact model. The spider cam predates the aluminum cam by a couple years. It is even built specifically for 1” hardware plates. It is still mind blowing to me how much they nailed equipment design so many years before anybody else caught on. Ive been on over 30 pullovers spanning every possible make and without a doubt the first generation nautilus series of pullovers sh!t on every single one.
It has been a treat to get the opportunity to restore this piece and give it another crack at its purpose.

@mrmotivation3.0 had some good points.

I help moderate the @goblingearcompany group chat and we advocate for them to be used for safety over handicap.

Most of the issues stem from the social media facade of brocolifters doing “14yo benches 510”.. they utilize horrible form, hip thrusting to hell, bouncing weight 12”, decline benching because they have a compressed spine from arching to death with ass off bench.

I’m a firm believer if you can raw 315x2-3 clean, with great form, then go ahead and try the 1-2x elbow wraps.

Don’t jump into 5x wraps and expect to get to progressive overload, you’ll be constantly fighting for perfect execution, just to get the weight up and now it’s a handicap.

Work to RPE7-8 RAW, then jump into the 1-2x wraps for safety so they can lightly assist with som added stability and joint compression so you run less risk popping a tricep tendon or attachment point.

Otherwise, if you’re benching sub 405, I don’t believe the 5x are needed, try getting some conditioning, and tendon/muscle maturity before relying on the strongest wraps, and coping with horrible form.

I love goblin gear, and their products and I use em in alot of my clips, I can and do use them consistently, but I raw up to 365 with my training partners generally before trying to wrap up unless we are doing fast big jumps, or AMRAPs.

You guys need help ask, I have videos and tutorials, not that I’m the most knowledgeable, but let’s work together to bring back REAL flat bench.
