"Slice Breaks" featuring @mrnedrush (Part 2)

While listening to an old rave track full of fun samples @alip0712 said I should make some jungle with cartoon sounds in, so I dug through some old, out of copyright cartoons and made her a track for Christmas featuring samples of "You Don't Know What You're Doing". I used lots of Ned Rush's breakbeat slicing techniques to make the track, so asked him to record a vocal hook which I think adds a lot of interesting ambiguity to an otherwise light hearted track: Are we making music because we've given up? Who is going to kick the doors down? The music industry? Annoyed neighbours? An increasingly authoritarian state that has outlawed protest and free expression?

From the album "Tuned To Different Frequencies" available on @bandcamp now. Link in bio.
