We had everything planned. Except the rain.

On October 10, Marrakech had other plans for us.

The musicians’ setup, the dinner, the flow of the venue, the entire evening… almost everything had to be rearranged at the last minute.

It was intense. Exhausting, honestly. But we made it work.

And once everyone was there, something much bigger than the unexpected took over: the energy in the room.

You danced, shared, adapted with us — and turned a night that could have completely fallen apart into such a beautiful edition of Raíces.

Not the night we planned.
But definitely one we’ll remember.

Thank you to everyone who showed up and made it what it was.

Tomorrow, we meet on the rooftop.

A salsa class to start the evening,
dinner with live music under the lights,
then we dance until midnight.

No need to be a pro.
No need to come with a partner.
Just come ready to enjoy the night.

September 13, 2026 - In the evening I went for dinner at a rooftop restaurant @mrooftop.marrakech 5/5 ⭐️ I had tajine kefta, mint tea & crème brûlée 🍮. The staff was really friendly, the food was good, the view was nice and they had a water misting spray system to keep you cool which felt really refreshing. I was having dinner by myself, reflecting on my day and I just felt so intensely happy. So happy I was about to cry 🥹 To be on a solo date with myself, enjoying my own company and I felt so good. Coming here felt like entering a completely different world. Everything’s so beautiful and you can see they have put so much attention into all the details. It’s such a romantic place, worthy of spending a honeymoon for example. Imagine sleeping on one of the rooftops under the stars 🥰 #travel #morocco #marrakech #solotravel #traveling

No one put a rueda on the programme.

Someone called a move. Partners changed. The circle grew. And for a few minutes, the rooftop moved together.

That’s what we love about Rueda de Casino. You might arrive knowing only one person, then find yourself dancing with everyone.

If you were in the circle, this one’s for you.
If you weren’t, join us next time.

We’d love to spend another evening with you.

On 10 October, we return to M Rooftop with the music that brings us together—and something new for your evening.

We’ll begin with Ben, finding our feet in Cuban salsa. Your first steps or years of dancing behind you, there’s room to learn, loosen up and meet someone new.

Then, a table by candlelight. Flavours of Cuba and Morocco. And, for the first time at Raíces, Junes and his live trio: voice, guitar, saxophone and percussion, close enough to feel every note.

After dinner, we head upstairs. The Koutoubia in view, DJ Shedu on the decks, and the dance floor ours until midnight.

Come on your own, bring someone you love, or make an evening of it with friends. We’ll meet you there.
