You never know what someone experienced in the past, that is why it is crucial to respect this invisible aura called the comfort zone 🔘. It is like a garden around a property, where no one should set foot just like this, without an invitation. It took me too many years to be able to say: NO, DON’T TOUCH ME, DID I ALLOW YOU? The preceding period since the first rape I was just freezing, boiling inside and feeling huge discomfort. It was making me disgusted and hate myself because I did nothing. It really takes a lot of courage to speak up, but you must mark your comfort zone and decide where it starts and ends. I still don’t like when some people hug me for too long, even if it seems okay for them, I feel trapped like I cannot move like I couldn’t move in the past, even if it is only 2 seconds too long. Now it seems easy for me to feel someone's intention. When I am in France and I get two or three cheeks kisses, it is totally okay because the intention of the person is to say hi! It is never a problem for me when I give a high five or fist bump, but when someone is having a conversation with me and all the time is trying to find a way to touch me, I just can’t. We are taught to not touch the 🥖🍞🫓 bread in the markets or to not touch the 🎭 exhibit in the museum. Now we must learn about the human comfort zone and learn to respect it ‼️ --- Support us: ☛ share a selfie on your profile with a card saying #OnlyYesmeansYes from 25.11-10.12 and tag @iwasrapedpl and featured #. ☛ via zrzutka.pl/z/tylkotakoznaczazgode and link in bio ☛ follow us on Instagram —— #iwasrapedpl #iwasraped #campaign #awareness #donttouch #victimblaming #mentalhealth #girlpower #feminism #womenrights #women #rapevictim #rapesurvivor #rapecase #sisterhood #socialcampaign #consent #consentissexy #consentmatters #setboundaries #yourrules #sexualassaultawareness #nomeansno #comfortzone #trauma #traumarecovery #traumahealing #traumainformed
