This boomerang is definitely one for the books. Gio from Bacardi and I collaborated together on 3 different cocktails for #NationalPiñaColadaDay, #DaiquiriDay, and #NationalRumMonth. We fell in love 4 days into knowing each other and everyone thought we were crazy… including us. 3 years later I can safely say, I have never felt more loved, respected, cherished and protected. This isn’t the kind of post I ever hoped I’d have to make. My heart has been with everyone affected by the earthquake in Venezuela. While I can’t change what’s happened, I can choose to do something, and I hope others will join me. I know for fact, we are all aware that coming together to help is the solution in the face of greed and corruption. This may be a natural disaster, but it is unfortunately made worse by the lack of action from authorities. Though many have been rescued, the number of people who have disappeared and or passed is enormous. Many children have been left vulnerable to trafficking and abuse. We want to make sure that they have a safe place to go with supplies. Through this event, 100% of donations will go directly to families and children impacted by the earthquake. If you are in Miami, Monday July 6th we will be gathering to do some breath-work, meditation and taking the time to be present, give thanks and give back. We will be gathering donations from the list of items mentioned in the video, as well as contributions towards the fundraising that will pay for the supplies needed in La Guiara. In times like these it makes you think of how little effort it takes for us to actually help. I and my team, are committed to strengthening our local community by coming together to help those who need it most. If this message resonates with you, I’d be grateful for your support in any way possible. Together, we can bring hope.
