Really grateful for friendships that pickup where they left off. Wild to think it’s already been well over 10 years and counting 🤍

Our hearts break for Asheville, NC, and the entire state!

Many of you may not know that the community of Asheville, NC, and their beer culture were massive influences and inspirations that helped lead us to founding Social Project in Northwest Arkansas.

There are so many similarities between Asheville and Northwest Arkansas that it's far too long to list. I think most importantly is that they are a compassionate community centered around the outdoors and supporting local businesses!

We love the people, the nature, and all the incredible small businesses in that area!

All of these pictures were taken in Asheville at some of our favorite places. We know for sure that our favorite coffee shop @summitcoffeerad has had their river arts shop decimated, this is extremely saddening and heartbreaking as we spent many mornings in that place. You could see the passion and care that went into the construction of that cafe!

The damage is massive, and it is so widespread that we know it will take a long time for Asheville to get back to where it was before the storm. But if we know one thing, it's that the Asheville community is incredibly strong, & no matter how hard it is, this community will conquer all the challenges and rebuild even better than it was before.

We, as Northwest Arkansansans, know what devastating effects a storm can have! We witnessed small businesses and iconic buildings completely flattened only months ago. We still see the damage daily. But in the aftermath of the storm, we all banded together, and we helped our neighbors survive, rebuild & thrive. While that process is still ongoing, we can see the light at the end of the tunnel!

We know the destruction in Asheville is massive and likely far beyond what we experienced here a few short months ago. We know that right now, the neighbors are doing what they can to help each other survive and begin to glimpse what rebuilding will look like. But we know it will take a while for a picture to start forming and for there to be clear ways for outside communities like ours to help. But rest assured, we will help! If there is a nationwide collab to raise funds, we will absolutely be a part of it!

What a bittersweet goodbye.

Almost five years ago, Chris & Courtney greeted me with the most friendly presence on my first day of serving at CPMJ. We’ve done so much life together and they’ve always been anchors of steadiness and unconditional love for me.

You guys are leaving me better than you found me. It has been such an honor to watch you guys love and serve people so well in all you do.

And even now, as you take a risk to step out into something new, I’m inspired. I’m so excited to watch what God does in the lives of everyone you touch as you jump into pursuing this dream with clear eyes and full hearts.

You guys are the best. So much love for you and your growing family 💙

Tennessee’s loss is Arkansas’ gain. I can’t wait to come visit soon!
