Two days before my summit, I was knee deep in execution mode. Emails, calls, confirmations and invoices.

Then my wife sent me this video of her taking our daughter on a stroll. 🥹🤎

And I exhaled.

That’s the beauty of intentional partnership. Paying attention to what your person is carrying, sharing the responsibilities and making room for each other’s dreams.

She gave me space to focus while keeping me connected to their little moment. That thoughtfulness meant so much.

There is so much love in being considered.

Ritta, I love raising our girl and building this life with you. 🤎

Life got so serious I forgot to look around.

Little me would be so proud of this right here. The wife. The baby. The random walk through the block on a regular day after swim class.

Nothing about this is small. 🤍

Still carrying the love from the Mrs. & Mrs. Summit. 💖✨

It’s been a little over a week, and I’m still reflecting on how beautifully this experience touched me.

I’m deeply grateful for how warmly I—and my art—were received. There was so much love, openness, creativity, and genuine connection throughout the weekend.

The panel discussions were inspiring. The performances were beautiful. And one of my favorite parts was making new friends and meaningful connections along the way.

I’m beyond grateful to @mrsheavengrace , for creating such a beautiful space and inviting me to be a part of it.

From the very first email to every detail of the event, you could feel the thought, intention, care, and love that went into creating this experience. It was beautifully executed from beginning to end.

I left with a full heart, new connections, and an even deeper appreciation for spaces where love, art, community, and celebration come together.

Thank you, Heaven, and thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a conversation, connected with my work, purchased art, or simply offered a kind word.

I am truly grateful and excited for what creations are yet to unfold.💖💖✨

I said what I said. 😂

(This was a real answer to a real question on a real panel. I was wearing my lavender suit and everything.)

my baby. my diamond. 🥹🥲

Growing up, two of my favorite people were Eve (Ruff Ryders) and Gisele Bündchen, who both had Yorkies. my momma used to say “when you’re on your own, you can get one.”

16 years ago you were my first big girl decision. my dream baby. You comforted me through a breakup, were here when Ritta entered our lives, grew up with me and my younger siblings. You were so protective of me when I was pregnant and when we brought Mia home, you watched over her like she was yours too. I don’t know living on my own without your presence.

finding out while we were heading to Atlanta for the summit made it so much harder. crying on the train, checking into the hotel with the most swollen eyes I’ve ever had, having to pause my grief to execute an event I’d worked on for so long.

I was in denial, but you were slowing down, becoming a little senior right before our eyes and you decided it was time.

now we’re home and your bed, your bowls, your treats, your cabinet full of clothes, toys and products are still here. no more walks to Lincoln Center, no more spa days where you’d act a little bougie after. 🤭 it’s morning and there’s a void. no tapping, no barking, no “dai girl.”

Ritta’s shed a few quiet tears, swore she heard your footsteps yesterday. for someone who was once afraid of you, she’s come such a long way, a whole 180. ☺️ Mia doesn’t fully understand yet, but she feels it. there’s moments of sadness for her and she’ll say we’re a family of 3 now instead of 4. 🥺 I think, in her own little way, she gets it more than we realize.

what brings me peace is knowing you were cared for in our absence. Thank you Ms. Marie for sharing your concerns, to noticing something wasn’t right.

To my brother ShaCore and sissy Makaela, who dropped everything in the middle of the night to be with her through her last breath and set her up properly in her last moments, I’m so thankful for you both.

And momma, thank you for sprinting into action, for breaking the news so gently, for checking on me all weekend. And thank you Aunt Crystal, for giving her to me 16 years ago and for being apart her last moments, full circle.

I’ll miss you so much, Dai Girl. 💔
