I’ve attempted to compile this post multiple times, but 20 pictures simply cannot capture the essence of my 10 years at @goldenrodpastries. Happy 10 year anniversary @goldenrodpastries 💕. Next post ——> pastries.

When I applied to Goldenrod a decade ago, I had no idea it would become the career I’ve always envisioned. While not many people can claim to love their job, I certainly do. The individuals who have crossed my path through this woman-led bakery are some of my most cherished 😭. They’ll undoubtedly remain in my life for a very long time (if I’m so fortunate).

Working at @goldenrodpastries has allowed me to unleash my creativity daily, draw inspiration from remarkable women (strong, empowering fucking amazing women), and being able to collaborate with a team to innovate and create. It’s a job that transformed me from a new mom (pumping in the bathroom) to someone who worked through my entire second pregnancy, even assisting @angelagarbacz_ with photoshoots for her cookbook during the sweltering summer (ice packs in bras are a lifesaver, by the way!). Then, Marlowe was able to work with me during the first few months of her life! She quickly became the most popular employee, even lucky enough to become besties with @asap.rocki ! Many life milestones and my favorite memories have taken place in this bakery.

We’ve weathered a pandemic together, witnessed the growth of some iconic pastry angels, from engagements and weddings to subsequent moves to pursue their dreams (though I still hate that moving part 😭).

When people asked that annoying question, “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” I never imagined I’d be able to say designing, photographing, snacking, and playing with food. 😛

And OOOOOF 🥲 @angelagarbacz_ thank you so much! You’re a friend, a leader, a U-Haul companion, and a champion for my kids. You’ve created a safe space where people come for anniversaries, gender reveals, engagements, and more! And most importantly, you lead and create by example, even when people might take too much inspiration from you. 🫣🤣 THANK YOU! 😉 💕

I can’t wait to see what happens in the next 10. I LOVE @goldenrodpastries 💕😭💕 ok ok ok I’m done.

May isn’t over but this is where May is for me.

May is filled with delicious bites but mostly with quality time spent with people I love. People I see often, people and I haven’t seen in years. May 2026 has also a month become a month where we lost a friend unexpectedly.

I hope that you spend three hours on the phone with your friends, tell them you love them and for the hell of it send em a couple nudes too.

The Iowa chapter in my book took on a whole new meaning this month, a gin and tonic in your honor forever Patrick Gannon 🩵 we’ll speak your name often and keep your memory alive 🌽

everything after this is bonus May a for me, pure wealth 🩵
