Happy anniversary to my lobster; The only person who truly gets me. Two years & counting xo

📸: @bourgeoisphotography

I never posted our wedding photos even though Shane, did a crazy amazing job. They were just for us, but here are a few.

Fun fact #1: we got married at the same place we got engaged -- Artist Point, Mount Baker, Washington, USA. 🗻🌋

Fun fact #2: pic #1 is an accurate portrayal of a 10 minute span of time on my wedding day. #MyBad 😬😅

Fun fact #3: Our wedding date was based solely off the song 'September' - (redone) by Justin Timberlake & Anna Kendrick in the movie TROLLS. 😁 Jack loved it at the time and we were like "that works". 😂😂

In true Samis fashion, I'm entering this post in the same state as her gift ... LATE.The great thing is that it's a Samis expectation... so in my family's minds, I'm right on time. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Today was Mother's Day and it was crazy busy. I only got to talk to my Mom for a collective 10 mins in between all the regular Mom tasks but I cannot let this day pass without giving this woman the shout out she deserves.
I can say, without any regret in my heart that my mother was the best thing to happen to my wedding day! Not only did I NOT know she was coming to our elopement, she also faced her lifetime fear of flying on an airplane to do it. She ALSO kept my kids at our house and fore went the trip to Seattle so that Chris and I could have some semblance of a real wedding. Had she not done this our day and evening would have been terribly different and for that I'm forever grateful. ❤
This is no different than anything she's done for me my whole life. She does her best and she SHOWS UP.
She's the most hardworking, honest, big hearted, sentimental and stubborn creature you'll ever be blessed to meet and I'm so fucking proud she's mine.
I have only gotten to visit my mother 3x since we moved to BC in 2017 and I miss her lingering hugs so damn bad.
This woman deserves anything her heart could fathom and I'm sending her the biggest lingering hug for Mother's Day. So freakin tight, it puts Rosa's to shame. 😉
Come Covid19 or high water, I WILL be seeing you before Summer is over! #tryandstopme
I love you @katherinesamis and I miss you so much! Happy Mother's Day, Mama Llama!
Psst -- super technically, it's only 11:31 in my province-- so I made it in time! 🧡💛 #HappyMothersDay

I answered a call from a co-worker today by saying "City Morgue", not realizing she had transferred an outside call. 🤦🏼‍♀️ How was your day?!

My Ma and I don't have a lot in common when it comes to hobbies but I miss her so damn much already that I'm sitting here watching a show I would NEVER watch had she not said to and eating the cheesecake she left behind. Even re-reading that paragraph makes my eyes water.
That's the thing about adulting and leaving the nest (& flying many forests away), it's not as easy to keep the closeness you once had to the people you love the most.
So thankful she faced her fears to be with me on my special day. Best gift ever.
Thank you also to my HUSBAND (ahhh 🤯) who convinced her to make the trip!

Happiest of two married months to the man who doesn't get bad breath at night. Thanks for making it easier for me to invade your side of bed. 😘

One slip of the foot and we would have all fallen down the steep embankment off the mountain. Guess that's why they built the wall we're standing on. 😂 #WorthIt
