She was asked to name 5 artists to watch… and ended up putting HERSELF on the list! 😂🔥

When Sasha L. Henry started naming Canadian artists deserving more recognition, she had plenty of names to share. But she wasn’t about to leave herself out of the conversation! 👀

That’s the energy we love! Supporting other artists while recognizing your own talent and growth.

💬 Do you believe artists should compete with each other, or focus on becoming better versions of themselves? 👇🏾

@kelseyvaz is a Toronto-based RnB singer, songwriter, and vocal coach at Express Voice Studio. With years of experience navigating the music scene, Kelsey Vaz has transformed from a stage-frightened beginner into a confident performer who regularly connects with audiences across Toronto’s vibrant music community. Her journey through the challenges of stage anxiety, vocal development, and building a sustainable music career has shaped her teaching philosophy- one that emphasizes healthy singing, patience, creative practice, and treating your artistry as a business.

When she’s not performing at local venues or recording new music, Kelsey gigs as a background vocalist, is a music teacher at daycares, and helps aspiring singers develop their vocal technique, overcome performance anxiety, and find their unique vocal style in the RnB genre. She believes that every singer’s journey is different, but with consistent practice and the right guidance, anyone can develop the skills to share their art with the world.

We at Pretty Girls Siiing can’t wait to learn from this incredible vocalist and coach!! You definitely don’t want to miss out!!

Five years ago, Lift Your Voice was created to give students a platform to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

Today, we are proud to share "I Can Hear The Music" — a song written by educator Chantelle Barham and brought to life by the incredible students of @fallingbrookps, @highbushhawks @mjps_jaguars, and with participation from Sistema Toronto - Scarborough. @sistematoronto

This project is more than a song. It is a reflection of courage, creativity, community, and the incredible things that can happen when young people are given the opportunity to shine.

As we celebrate our 5th year of Lift Your Voice, we do so with immense gratitude for every student, educator, family member, supporter, and community partner who helped bring this vision to life. While this chapter may be coming to a close, the heart behind Lift Your Voice will continue to live on and may find new ways to inspire and connect communities in the years ahead.

Thank you for being part of this journey. ❤️
