Literally I have no words for the experience of today!! I’m still trying to process having been in the same room as so many legends! I mean if you dive deep into their discography and catalog of projects they are credited for…it takes me back to my days busking in Times Square! Sooo many of these songs I would sing I’m standing along side the talented people who wrote them. God has his way of working magic, but you have to always take the step. I’m already beyond inspired and it’s only been day one in Miami 🌻🤜🏽🫷🏽

What a pleasure it was to host a women’s Break Bread event with @idarosemusic this week! ✨

Members had a chance to network with other NYC music creators and share the incredible things they are working on in an atmosphere filled with supportive fellow songwriters. Truly a bright spot in our week! 💙✨

Leadership is service.

As Empire Chapter steps into a new program year, we celebrate the mothers who have answered the call to lead. Guided by the mission of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., our 2026-2028 Executive Board is committed to nurturing future leaders, strengthening our families, and uplifting our community here in New York City.

Together, they carry forward a legacy of excellence and purpose, and we can’t wait to see all that Empire will accomplish this year. Thank you for your commitment to our children and our chapter.

Summer has definitely been keeping me busy in the best way possible! ☀️

From colleague celebrations (many of them 💣), client shows 🔥, fabulous law firm lunches ♥️, meetings and making deals 💥, Zoom calls with my biggest little supporter (and future junior associate) ❤️‍🔥, and …………doing whatever the Fu$k I want 🤣😂..... it’s been a season full of work I love and moments I’ll never take for granted!!!

Grateful for the people, the opportunities, and the reminder that while this career moves fast, it’s the people you share it with that make it all worth it. Looking forward to the next busy season because the grind never stops!!

A first for Empire: our chapter’s inaugural appearance at the 47th National Convention of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., held in Baltimore, MD. Represented by Chapter President Shawn Pride, Vice President Nicole George Middleton, and Mother Nikoa Evans, the days were filled with the business of Jack and Jill and panel discussions on safeguarding our children and families, reminding us what’s possible when we move as one. Festivities followed each evening providing fellowship and fun for the whole family.

Proud to share Empire received a Financial Excellence Award, honoring the exceptional stewardship of Treasurer Mother Kerry-Ann Evans-Thompson and Financial Secretary Jennifer Watler.
Together we stand. Together we grow. That is the power of us.

My Boo isn’t on social media, but y’all still needed to see how ahhhhhhmazing 50 looks. 😍

Chef’s kiss. 💋

My right hand stayed occupied. 🍸
The conversations fed my soul. And seeing so many familiar faces in one room? Whew…it felt like old times in the very best way.

Life is good. Happy 50th, Tara. 🖤✨
