Had the best time today meeting Kristi, the sweet owner and creator of the @ultimate_stadium_sak, and being able to introduce her to Mark Hewitt and his crew at @lovecaremin here in Abilene. Kristi reached out to me with a desire to donate over 100 stadium saks to the homeless community in West Texas and I immediately knew I had to connect her with Mark and his team! What a joy it was! Kristi, thank you so much for your generosity, these bags will be a blessing to so many especially as winter approaches, and Mark, for your heart and nearly 30 year commitment to the mission of Love and Care Ministries. Literally being the hands and feet of Jesus! If you are looking for a non-profit to support or volunteer at, I can’t stress it enough…Love and Care Ministries!

I grew up watching her, and today I met her - DJ Tanner in the flesh, y’all! ;) But truth be told, @candacecbure is so much more than just the actress we all adore. Yes, she’s absolutely beautiful inside and out, but it’s her undeniable love for the Lord that is most impressive to me.

I had to chuckle because we know the Meet and Greet life very well, as @aaronwatsonmusic does them at literally every concert, but tonight it was my turn to wait in line and meet someone I admire. If we had more time, I’m certain we’d be besties! ;)

Looking forward to the conference tomorrow! Gonna be a full day of truth, encouragement, inspiration, and worship!

An @aaronwatsonmusic music family and a vintage @willienelsonofficial bus made for a fun weekend and a great show at @potosilive! And to try to describe what it felt like to see my baby @thejake_watson play with his daddy…I truly can’t find the words! I feel like I stood in awe watching them all night long. ❤️

It’s cold and gloomy here today. Definitely not my favorite of days. I’ve gotten some to-do list things done, which always feels good, but I also took time to think, pray, study, and self-reflect. I don’t know about you, but sometimes life can feel like a test I didn’t study for. But unlike a test, where you can’t ask for help, we can always ask God for help, and He will answer. It might not be in the way we envisioned it, and sometimes it might not be the answer we had hoped for, but there is such peace in knowing and believing that He is faithful and He can be trusted, in everything. Happy Wednesday, friends! If you’re having a hard week, hang in there and know you’re never alone. 🤍

SO many memories of going to the NFR in Vegas over the years with @aaronwatsonmusic! What’s your favorite NFR memory!? I have to be honest, I have never really considered myself a huge “Vegas person,” but during the rodeo it’s as if west Texas has come to town and it is so. much. fun! If you’ve been you know what I mean, and if you haven’t, well you need to put it on your bucket list! Anyhow, super sad I’m not able to be there this year (and get to make AW take our traditional pictures in the gold mirrors each night! Ha!) , but AW and the guys are there and will be playing every night following the buckle ceremonies, tonight through Sunday at the South Point! If you go, tag me, cause the FOMO is real right now! Xoxo, Kim

I sincerely wish everyone could know our Jack. Kind, compassionate, caring, considerate of others, observant, deep thinker, loyal as the day is long, courageous, determined and driven, fearless (well, except of heights), and absolutely full of joy.

I can’t wait to see what Jack does in life, but more than any accomplishments, we are most proud of who Jack is and the fact that Jack ultimately desires to follow God and do what’s right. In the end, that’s all that truly matters in life.

Happy 14th buddy. We love you more than you’ll ever know…until you have kids of your own…then you’ll get it. ;)

And Jack, I know you don’t have social media, but I’m sure you’ll get word of this post at some point, and when you do, I hope you will appreciate me taking the time to add clip art shorts to the picture before posting. ;) 🩳

It’s next to impossible to put into words what it feels like to lose a child. Unless you’ve lived it, I now realize one can only at best, imagine. It’s a gut wrenching pain like none other. I remember it literally being hard to breathe, and in those moments, time literally stood still. We were broken - unbelievably broken - and unsure of how life would possibly ever go on.

I remember it all so vividly. She entered the world and hours later left this world, however the impact of her life has lasted far beyond her final breath.

One thing was certain then and 10 years later is still certain now: Jesus. He was there in that delivery room with @aaronwatsonmusic and I, He was there as Aaron carried her earthly body down to the nursery one final time, and He has been there with us every step of the way.

Time doesn’t always heal all wounds - God is the healer of all wounds. Grief comes in waves, and some days they crash hard, but God is always there. He is constant, He is faithful, and He is good.

He has given us the strength to endure. It hasn’t been easy, it’s been hard enough with Him, but without Him, I truly don’t know where we’d be.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. God is good. Always good. And that’s a fact! You can not convince me otherwise. God’s goodness is not dependent on the circumstances of our life. Period.

If you don’t know God or believe in God, I pray that by hearing the story our daughters life and ultimately her death would cause you to want to search Him out and come to know Him. He is such a good, good God, and if her death leads even one of you to Him, it would be the most humbling gift of all.

“You won’t understand now, but you will one day,” said the waitress, as she witnessed me asking Jake to smile for one quick picture. “Us moms just want pictures, because, while it might not seem like it to you, you kids grow up so fast it hurts!” I instantly looked at him and said “Did you hear that, angel? I didn’t make her say that!” and he laughed, because he’s heard me say that more times than he can count how fast he’s growing up.

The next few minutes, she actually spoke almost entirely to Jake, ever so sweetly sharing with him that she’s a single mom of 3 boys, and that her boys are her world, and they will be grown and gone all too soon, and one day, along with them, he too will understand why us parents take the pictures. ;)

Anyhow, I’m not sure what made us choose Cheddar’s for lunch today, but I’m so glad we did! If you are local and ever go, ask for Michelle - her friendly, pleasant demeanor, and positive outlook on life will most definitely be a blessing to you, and in turn, you can have the opportunity to bless her and her boys!

Carrying on with normal activities right now seems so meaningless. My mind can not escape the reality that 13 of our bravest soldiers were taken from this life yesterday.

Serving me. Serving you. Serving, protecting, and defending those they never even knew.

Our military gives everything, and tragically sometimes their very life. How can one find adequate words? You can’t. But I will forever be grateful and have the utmost respect for our service men and women and their families.

We are unapologetically American, we love this country, and we will continue to teach our children that freedom isn’t free.

My dad used to say we as American’s don’t know how good we have it. He’s so right. So many do not understand, appreciate, or care to acknowledge that we live in the greatest nation the world has ever known, and that our freedoms haven’t come free.

This is not for political attack or debates. That is not this space and I will not stand for it.

Fact of the matter is doors were knocked on yesterday, delivering the unimaginable news of heartbreaking loss. And today, more of our finest heroes are lacing up boots and saying goodbyes to go serve.

We owe it to them and their families to stand in the gap and pray. Please join our family in praying.

Pray for our country.
Pray for our leadership.
Pray for our troops and their families.

We talked yesterday about raising children. This morning he sent me a text with a short passage to read…Deuteronomy 6:4-8…so I quickly walked around the corner and sent a picture back to him of the verses hanging in the main hallway of our home, basically to say, “don’t worry, daddy…I am.” And I assured him that I will never stop talking to the kids about the Lord.

My dad has always encouraged me in so many ways, but most of all, he reminds me of how great and mighty and powerful God is, and what the Lord himself expects from me. He often shares areas he feels he could have done better at as a parent and encourages me not to make the mistakes he did.

I’m so thankful he has always pointed me to Jesus. It’s his example and his teachings that I will never forget, and it’s because of his faith being first and foremost in his own life that has allowed me to possess that same strong, unwavering faith.

Thank you daddy, for teaching me to love Jesus, and to follow Him forever. One day, He will call my daddy home, and AW will have to pick me up off the floor, but thanks to him instilling in me the word of God, I will cling to it and follow Him, all the days of my life, and while I am still here, I will do everything I can to give my kids the same strong foundation of God’s love that my daddy gave to me.

Day 3 of having his permit and I’m already calling for backup! Ok, kidding!! Thankful for the mentorship Coach Mo has always provided our family in so many aspects, and now he’s helping Jake learn to drive. Today they took out AW’s @blakefulenwiderautomotive Ram truck out and the report - he did great! Who taught you how to drive? My dad taught me, and to this day I still do everything he told me to do!

San Antonio is one of our favorite places in the great state of Texas and has become almost a annual getaway for our family. So much history, culture, plus fantastic food/shopping! The RiverWalk, SeaWorld, Aquatica, and of course, home of our favorite, The @spurs! And if you have never been to the @sanantoniozoo, definitely put it on your list, because it does not disappoint!
