POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to join the @blacktravelsummit in Brazil as a panelist.

I walked away with more than great memories. I walked away with new friends (I hope I see yall in Milwaukee!), new ideas, new questions—and an even deeper understanding of what happens when Black people get to shape the stories being told about how and where we travel.

And now…I’m doing it again.
📍 The Baird Center, Milwaukee, WI
📅 October 15th - 18th

Every Black Travel Summit brings something different. Different city. Different conversations. Different people. Different opportunities to imagine what the Black travel industry can become.

This year, I’m especially excited because I won’t just be attending - I’m facilitating my own workshop! I’m bringing The Ville to Bronzeville. ✊🏾

Jacksonville’s Northside is coming to Milwaukee with me—and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been learning about pride, policy and advocacy.

If you’re interested in Black travel, destination marketing or building stronger communities through storytelling, you need to be in the room.

👉🏾 Follow along this week as I share what I’m bringing to #BlackTravelSummit2026—and what I hope to bring home.
And if your organization is looking for a speaker who can connect tourism, community development and advocacy, let’s talk.

This trip was deeply personal and spiritual for me personally & professionally. It’s impossible to capture the depth of my gratitude and emotions in 90 seconds, but here’s my humble attempt.

I love the people, culture, music, and food of Brasil. To all of my friends that made my life there so special, thank you always. I love myself more deeply because of my self-discovery journey that began years ago in Brasil and continues to this day. I can truly say, it was love at first sight, as cheesy as it sounds. I know my life’s journey will lead back in Brasil, my sunshine. Until we meet again….❤️
