How doooooo we DO IT? We DO IT with a whole bunch of dedicated people who believe in the value of the arts in our lives. We DO IT because local businesses get what we do and lean in to ask how they can sponsor our efforts and this incredible event. We DO IT because we see... each and every event [115 and counting] exactly how much it means to the community and the artists who show up for the restorative vibe we create. We know this because it’s what they say! Thank you to our team and especially to our generous sponsors - Maridell Hall Markison of Heavenly Harvest Catering, MSU Federal Credit Union, John Regan of @ Twisted Stem Floral, Rick Miller Photography and Graphic Design, Victoria Warren of Above the Barre Dance Academy, Rivage Ventures and allllll of our TALENTED musicians who donate part of their time and talent to this outstanding event! There is no way we could do this without you. And from our continued support and response for all, there is no way we ever want to stop providing this crazy cool event for the arts. All the cool people will be here. 4th Fridays Art Event at The Dole Friday March 27th 6:00 - 9:00 $10 Entry #4thfridaysartevent #nancymerklingproductions

As a kid (and now, an adult!), I've done ballet classes and jazz classes. But I never tried tap. Last night, I took my first tap class and loved every single second of it. My old-school style shoes? A total delight, too. I can't wait to go back next week. I only wish I had enough time and space to take more than one dance class a week because they're so damn fun. Image of a pair of black and white tap shoes being worn by Kelly. She has on black and white socks with red hearts. Her dance teacher's foot is in front of her. She's got a black tap shoe with gray socks.

Ten years ago, our studio was overjoyed to join the children's cast of Moscow Ballet's Nutcracker at Ms. Shannon's dear friend, Rebecca McCarthy, @rmsd_mcdance_company in Crystal Lake under the direction of the most incredible director, Mr. Altin Naska, @altinnaska . Our senior dancers, Carrington and Amelia were just baby snowflakes in that show and our beloved teacher, Ms. Liv was a Spanish dancer! Fast forward 10 years, and we are truly honored to be a host studio!! What a joy to collaborate with dancers from Above the Barre (McHenry) @atbdanceacademy, Milwaukee Ballet School, Shine Bright (Antioch), and South Dance Collective (Genoa City) @southdancecollective for this year's Magical Christmas Nutcracker Ballet, held tomorrow, Sunday, December 14th at 6:00 pm @rosemonttheatre! Come support this incredible children's cast and get into the holiday spirit - link in bio! Merdi dancers, cast, and crew!

Got to witness one of my high school besties, Kim, marry her best friend this weekend 🫶🏼 My ballet teacher gave a beautiful speech on behalf of her mom, and I got to see Kim dance again. We laughed and danced and reminisced and I was so happy! And of course, she was stunning! 👰🏻‍♀️💍
