Huge congratulations to Dwij Ashar on his 🏆 Commendation at the MSA Digital Innovation Award @msa_add ! Dwij explored Old Trafford across a widespread skill set : from hand sketching to computational and AI, 3d and physical modelling, he engaged with the Prototype aspirations and pushed the boundaries of conceptualisation and master plan implementation. Looking forward ahead to your achievements Dwij!

Join ADD X MSSA Nexus (Materials, Technologies and Systems Subgroup) for a hands-on, 90-minute digital fabrication workshop, with a focus on 3D printing using natural filament materials!

This workshop will cover an introduction to digital fabrication strategies for modelmaking, an instructive tour of the printers in Makerspace, an guide on natural and alternative filament materials, a practical tutorial on how to set up your models for 3D printing (with Bambu Studio slicer), as well as a clear foundation for producing strong, well-resolved physical models, ideal for end-of-year exhibition!

Bonus, those who stay until the end will receive a free 3D printed keychain from ADD x MSSA Nexus!

We hope to see you Wednesday 📆💜🥳

The Resilient Nexus: A Carbon-Zero Kinetic City

Step into Resilient Nexus, my exploration of a carbon-zero, climate-responsive urban future — where architecture becomes alive, adaptive, and deeply human. This project is more than just towers and bridges; it’s about weaving together resilience, mobility, culture, and ecology into one interconnected urban ecosystem.

Through AI-powered workflows with @xfigura.ai , I’ve pushed the boundaries of how architecture can be imagined, tested, and visualised. From early concept generation to cinematic narratives, every image and clip reflects an iterative design journey where parametric modelling, BIM integration, and AI experimentation converge to form a city that lives, breathes, and evolves.

My skills in Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit, D5 Render, and Enscape blended with AI tools to create an adaptive design process — producing everything from massing strategies and spatial circulation diagrams to photorealistic renders and walkthroughs. It has been a challenging, rewarding process that represents not just the future of design, but also my own ethos: to merge sustainability, creativity, and technology in architecture.

A heartfelt thank you to @george.guidadesign (@xfigura.ai) and @futurly team for creating a platform that empowers designers to dream bigger, experiment faster, and narrate bold architectural futures. 🙏

This video is not just a presentation; it’s a manifesto of my passion for design, my curiosity to explore, and my commitment to integrating AI into the architectural process. Here’s to building cities that inspire, adapt, and endure.

Essence of my film and its context within the MSA Beyond Film Competition:

🎬 Thrilled to Unveil "The Invisible Lines Converged"! 🌟

Delve into the depths of Manchester with my latest film for the MSA Beyond Film Competition, themed "Walking on the Edge." This film intertwines the lives of a student, a homeless person, and an executive, capturing the unseen connections within the city's vibrant architecture and diverse landscapes.

🏙️ Manchester Through the Lens: Experience how the city’s historic and modern architecture shapes our narrative, illustrating the societal "edges" we live on.

🤖 Crafted with AI: Leveraging AI, every scene is meticulously tailored to enhance storytelling, from editing to sound design, showcasing the seamless blend of technology and creative vision.

🔍 Exploring AI's Role: As AI reshapes filmmaking, "The Invisible Lines Converged" serves as a dialogue on how technology complements human creativity, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in cinematic storytelling.

🎥 Join the Conversation: Don’t miss the fusion of digital innovation and narrative at the screening. Let's rethink the future of filmmaking together!

I wanted to share one last part of my progression to Nexus Tomorrow project! I should not forget to mention the exhibition day! I managed to get a chance to pin up the group work and showcase VR for students, staff and employers alike to see our work! It was great talking to fellow peers and employers alike about the work and it’s great to have further insight on how my skills can improve to further progress my career! #architecture #student #exhibition #virtualreality #portfolio

On the 23rd of September 2024 we welcome a new BA1 cohort at MSA. We were excited to talk about the unique experience of studying at MSA. We introduced all aspects of the MSA ‘Ecosystem’, giving the new students an chance to foresee the wide range of opportunities designed to support their journey into becoming an Architect.
