… & without further ado..

With over 20 years in the skilled trades, Matthew brings deep hands-on experience to every project. He is the Owner and President of Electric M.D. Thunder Bay Ltd.

Raised in Southern Ontario, Matthew began his career in construction as a carpenter before transitioning into the electrical field in 2012, when he was accepted as an electrical apprentice.

In 2013, he relocated to Thunder Bay with his wife, Jess, where he began building both his personal and professional future—designing and constructing his own homes while advancing in his trade. By 2018, Matthew had completed his apprenticeship, earned his Journeyman Electrician certification, and built two homes from the ground up.

He continued to grow as a part owner of a local electrical company from 2018 to 2025, and in 2024 achieved his Master Electrician license. Driven by a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service, Matthew launched Electric M.D. Thunder Bay Ltd. in October 2025—bringing his long-standing vision of owning and operating his own company to life.
