Today, the #NorthBrooklynCoalition is coming together with the Gabby Petito Foundation at Miller’s Ale House for a heartfelt birthday celebration in memory of Gabby, a young woman whose life was taken too soon by domestic violence. Gabby’s story has touched so many hearts across the country, and we feel truly honored to stand by her family, friends, and everyone who continues to advocate for positive change in her name. Her spirit inspires hope, action, and healing every day. As we gather to celebrate her life and cherish our memories of her, it’s also a moment for us to raise our voices about some important issues. With the recent closure of the Safe Center, Long Island’s largest domestic violence shelter, survivors in Nassau County are facing new challenges in finding safety and support. We urge local leaders to prioritize the development of accessible, trauma-informed programs that can truly uplift and protect survivors. Even though our base is in Brooklyn, our support reaches far and wide. The North Brooklyn Coalition offers virtual services, so if you or someone you know in Long Island needs help, remember you’re not alone! We’re here for you and will do our best to work around your schedule to help you find the safety and resources you deserve. 💙  Happy heavenly birthday, Gabby! Your legacy inspires us all to keep fighting against domestic violence.  💜 #JusticeForGabby #GabbyPetitoFoundation #DomesticViolenceAwareness #SupportSurvivors #YouAreNotAlone #VirtualSupport #TogetherWeActUnitedWeChange #DVServices #GabbyPetito #enddv
