Girl Talk was everything it needed to be. We discussed as much as we could on how to bring women in general together as well as in our city, Columbus, Ohio. It was great knowing that everyone in the room was there for the purpose of coming together and squashing the b.s. S/O to @chanel_bee for bringing us all together and everyone that came out! 😬 I'm so late with this post but many of you know I was a part of my first speaking engagement a few weeks ago which was created by @chanel_bee! Everything that Chanel preaches she embodies. & this event was even more of a testament to that. She has asked me to b a part of things she had going on before and I never could. When she asked me to do this I said to myself that I HAVE to at all costs lol. It was such a great experience being around everybody and meeting new people. I plan on staying connected with those I met and hopefully making some black girl magic. Last year I wanted to go to Girl Talk and couldn't and then this year I was one of the featured speakers. I was so honored. I want to give a special S/O TO my friend and photographer @jayrshots for letting me bug him 4 like a month about taking my pics this day lol. Motivational Mom Monday 💕 Hiiii my name is Breya. I am 28 years old.. I am currently in nursing school, seeking my RN degree and working full time at OSU. I am the Mother to the most amazing 4 year old little girl. What motivates me? I’m motivated by just the thought of the woman and mother God called me to be. I know she is powerful, wise, strong, successful, patience, wise and a lot more 🥰 So, everyday I try my hardest to think positive thoughts, to move in a positive way, I walk like I’m already the NURSE, the Mother, the Woman I know God called me to be. Some self care tips for me are honestly, morning time with God. I give my first 30 mins-1 hour (or more) of waking up to God. I need that. I have to do that first. It takes care of everything else for me that day. I love music listening to Podcasts, hanging with my loved ones, silence (I really love sitting in silence 🤷🏾‍♀️😂). Honestly, my self care probably looks different than other people.
