End of an era! 🏀

From 1st grade with the Optimist Lakers all the way through 8th grade with the Wildcats and St. Lucy’s school,it has been an absolute honor coaching these two.

@mikey2shiftyyyy
@highlightboi_mare, watching you guys grow from little kids into the ballers you are today has been the highlight of my coaching journey. It’s bittersweet knowing you won’t be on the same court next year, but I couldn’t be prouder of the teammates and young men you’ve become.

Finish strong, boys. The future is yours! 🙌🏾📉

"What a ride, team! 🏀 We’ve accomplished every goal we set out to achieve since 4th grade. I can say with confidence: this is the best private middle-school basketball team ever to come out of Racine!
🏆 4x SSPL Champs
🏆 3x St. Rita Tournament Champs
🏆 Middle School State Champs
🏆 Padre Serra Tournament Champs
…and numerous other titles!
St. Lucy's is going to need a new trophy case for all of these. I’m so proud of you for staying the course and trusting the process. Take everything you've learned here to the next level. The future is bright! #StLucysBasketball #RacineHoops #StateChamps #TrustTheProcess". #LightingBoyzOut!!!!!💛💚⚡️💪🏀🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

It’s hard to think it’s all over. Playing with this team for the past 4 years. We have become a family and have built relationships like brotherhood.

We have accomplished so many things as a team. A few major things are:

•4x league champions
•3x St rita champion
•1x state champion
•1x padre champion

I am so blessed to have been able to play with this group of kids. I want to shoutout all my coaches,
Coach Mike @mrharper2u, Coach Twan @mse_yae, and Coach Harry. Without you guys I wouldnt be where I am today. Thank you for all you have done for me and this team.

Youth basketball, Goodbye, onto the next❤️

I was honored and privileged to coach the home 8th grade SSPL ALL STAR team tonight. Both teams put on a great show for the crowd. I got to coach my son in this game which was a dream come true. Congratulations to all the young men selected. I really look forward to watching them in high school next year. 💪🏀

Finally have time to post about our weekend. This year i gave the boys the responsibility of coming up with a prayer before out games. Before the SSPL Championship game we invited the opposing team to join our prayer to show unity and brotherhood with this awesome game of basketball and life.

From 5th grade to 8th grade, I’ve had the absolute honor of watching these boys grow from kids who could barely dribble without looking at the ball into a dominant championship team.
Last Sunday, they capped off their final middle school season by winning their 4th straight title. But as their coach, the trophies aren't what I’m most proud of.
I’m proud of:
The growth in their skill levels throughout these years.
The way they’ve supported each other since they were ten years old.
The leaders they’ve become on and off the court.
We started this journey together 4 years ago, and seeing it end like this is bittersweet. To my players: Lucas Sam, Liam, Ben, CJ, Eathan, Mateo, Mikey, Bingham, and Amar'e. Thank you for the hard work, the laughs, and for letting me be a part of your story. To the parents: Thank you for trusting me with your sons all these years. We have 1 more big tournament "The Padre Serra tournament," which has been around for 67 years. It consists of 28 invited teams only from around the Southern Wisconsin area. I know of only 1 Racine team that has won it, and we are working hard to bring one more time to our city.
High school better be ready, because these boys are coming for everything.
