Looking to expand your social circle in 2025? Read this.

Loneliness has sadly become an epidemic in America.

With America's workaholic culture, compared to other countries, the concept of friendship and community is seldom prioritized.

Especially after age 30, the ability to make new adult friendships feels like it has never been harder.

Thats why Astoria Connect was started.

The majority of the group of guys in this picture all met through different Astoria Connect events.

Through time and more events, eventually an amazing group of friendships was formed.

If you want to do the same thing, here's what to do in 2025:

1. Find a bigger social event. It can be Astoria Connect or another one. Go to the bigger socials. The beauty of these is it provides a lot of people for you to briefly chat with in a free flow, low commitment/ intimidation environment.

2. Speak to at least a few different people. The more the merrier. Remember, you're not going to vibe with most people, and you're not meant to. Some will be people you never want to speak to again, some will become casual acquaintances you see from time to time around the neighborhood, and some can become friends that last a lifetime.

3. From the people you liked/vibed with, exchange contact info. Invite them to a smaller more intimate event like lunch, coffee or an activity. Whether you're inviting someone for 1:1 or a small group is great.

4. Rinse and repeat. Forming friendships takes time. You won't form close friendships from attending one social, and may not form any even attending every social. It's on you to take initiative, get contact info and follow up with the people you vibed with. Focus on finding fit, and meeting interesting people along the way.

Let's make 2025 the year of community, collaboration and friendship!

Follow @astoriaconnect for all upcoming social info and see you soon!

The last few weeks have felt like a whirlwind...

I turned 34 and had some friends fly in from overseas to surprise me for my birthday

Went to Miami and on a cruise to the Bahamas with the business mastermind I'm apart of...

And I've got my new book launching on Tuesday!

All I can say is I'm grateful to have such good people in my life.

Cheers to a great holiday season and an amazing and even better upcoming 2025 for everyone 🙏

We had the best day supporting Spin for Kids! We raised double our fundraising goal, and we completed our 15 mile bike ride. Forever grateful for all my friends who joined me today and for my family and friends who supported this amazing cause all along the way! @montaukbrewco @sweetwaterbrew
