Wrentham Developmental Center. Built in 1910. Slowly being shuttered and will likely fully close next year. At its peak there were beds for over 1,000 patients but that number has dwindled to less than 150 in recent years with new admissions stopped in 2022. As Massachusetts looks to close its remaining state hospital facilities many ask what is to become of our most vulnerable members of society.

Most people don’t know that my journey into Art and Entertainment as a career started in 8th grade, when I earned a spot in @ushersnewlook . It was there—flying from South Central to @georgiatech each summer for an intensive—that I learned how to wake up early, navigate a schedule, live in college dorms, practice public speaking, develop products, explore global stewardship through the UN, and, most importantly, understand that your network is your net worth.

Those lessons later led to me moving to New York to work full-time straight out of high school.

So when my 16-year-old sister asked to come with me to New York during her homeschooling to learn more about earning internships, it was no surprise that whether she was meeting stage production teams backstage, visiting Nike NYHQ, or getting pointers on positioning at my alma mater, @teamepiphany , the core values I learned early on still held true and transferred to the next generation.

Thank you, @suzay , @coltranecurtis , and @mslisachu , for always keeping your wings open wide. Family business stands true ✨

Some people you follow for years before life puts you in the same room.

Coltrane and Lisa have been on my radar for a minute… the style, the agency, the way they move through New York like they belong to it. Getting to chop it up with them, actually talk? That was a gift.

They built Team Epiphany from nothing. Split sandwiches at 2nd Ave Deli. Lived above a sweat factory on Mulberry.
A skill met a skill… and they never looked back.

What stays with me most is the ring.
His dad’s Queens College ring, worn every single day.

That detail tells you everything about the kind of man he is.
Reminds me of the legacy I’m leaving for my Son 🥹🙏🏾

This one’s for the builders. The dreamers.
The couples who bet on each other before anyone else did.
