Shocked and saddened to hear about the fairly sudden passing of one of my favorite pilots Mark Meredith @msmeredith79 💔.

Mark was one of the first aerobatic pilots I saw and I always was memorized by his graceful aerobatics. He was such an inspiration to me. He was such a sweet guy and was always so encouraging to future pilots and a big reason I started pursuing a pilots license.

I will truly, sincerely miss seeing him and his super Chippy at airshows.

I pray I will see you again on the other side, my friend. Rest in His eternal embrace, Mark.

Forever blue skies and tailwinds. 🤍🛩️

The Humanity of Flight

happy february! aviation photography is usually about the plane; the perfect JetPhotos worthy 90-degree side-on, cloudless blue sky photos. for me, however, I wanted this collage to be more about the interaction between planes and everyday objects and people.

i’m always fascinated by how these massive, 100-ton, million-dollar feats of engineering just become background noise to everyone. the massive billboard liveries practically become just another part of the street below. my goal for this collage is less about the planes themselves and more about the people who interact with the planes - or move alongside them.

The more I get to be around planes and pilots, the more I fall in love with Aviation. It's so exciting to learn new things and especially something as wild as flight. The people I've met already and their enthusiasm to help me grow and learn is such a blessing. I can't wait to see where the Lord leads me this year with aviation. 🙏🏻

One of my favorite aerobatic pilots, @msmeredith79, during the @newyorkairshow show last year. 🤍

2025 really was a turning point for me & I've felt my passions & their priorities shift.

It's obviously no surprise to anyone that has been following me over the last year that the aviation bug has bit me HARD 🙃🛩️. I went from never being to an air show to attending and photographing over 8 (and that doesn't include the aviation related events I went to that didn't have air shows). Each one of those events rooted my passion for aviation deeper and deeper. My sister had no clue what she was awakening when she brought me to my first one 🤭.

With all of that said, even outside of all things aviation, the Lord continued to bless me with many wonderful couples, dancers, seniors, families & more. I am truly so thankful that so many people come to me to provide them with high quality, artistic photography. I'll always be grateful 🤍. I could never post enough photos from the last year, so these photos are only just a snapshot!

So what has been the turning point and shift in my passions is to, frankly, not spend as much time hustling and hustling to be seen and recognized on social media. It's a rat race. The greedy people who run these platforms require you to sell your soul to the machine and live on the Internet and make exciting content OR pay tons of money to just be seen.
Generally art is not valued. Personally, it's not worth it to me to try THAT hard. I love my personal life too much. I love precious time with my husband and my family. I do not want to give that up for anything, especially a never ending rat race to be seen.

🛩️ I also have decided to dive deeper and deeper into the world of aviation and pursue a private pilots license and of course continue to use my photography skills to share with the world the wonders of aviation!🛩️

Simply put, I will still work hard at providing high quality photography services to the world (I can't see that ever changing...photography is one of my greatest passions and I can use it in almost anything!), but I won't be as present on here so that I can fully be present in all my other passions & spending time with family.

I look forward to an amazing 2026 and following wherever the Lord leads 🤍.
