This never gets old. Leading into our asana practice, I offered a rolled blanket just below the tips of the shoulder blades to create opening in the heart & the throat as we journeyed to Vissudha β€œto purify” or commonly known, the throat chakra. The throat chakra can close down for a lot of different reasons, anger, unresolved grief, emotions we are afraid to express if we close down our voice. We want to communicate clearly and openly.Β  Β If it's something we're not conscious of, we won’t know what that is.Β  Our asana practice helps us dive into the unconscious areas so we can become more aware of what we need to sift through to create healing. When we are able to clear things that we hold onto or are not conscious of, it's more effortless to speak our authentic voice, not the voice we think we should have but the voice we truly carry.Β  xo
