🫏🔵✊️ — The @thedemocrats presents itself as a vehicle for progress and equality, but its politics remain bound to the limits of capitalism and the interests that sustain it. Repeated promises of reform run into the same reality of imperial policy, corporate influence, and structural inequality that no election cycle has resolved. Real change requires breaking with the logic of capital and building independent working-class political party able of confronting it: @communistsofamerica Article used: marxist.com/usa-ocasio-cortez-defeats-the-democratic-machine-which-way-forward-for-socialists marxist.com/zohran-mamdani-wins-what-s-next-in-the-fight-against-the-billionaires Join the Revolutionary Communist International: marxist.com/join . . . #socialism #marxism #classstruggle #anticapitalism #revolution #workingclass #politicaltheory #capitalism #imperialism #usa #politics #leftist #communism

WHAT BOOKS DID YOU 🫵 BUY AT THE 2026 MONTREAL MARXIST WINTER SCHOOL? Capitalism can’t deliver a dignified life and people everywhere are figuring that out fast. As crises pile up, workers and youth are drawing revolutionary conclusions at record speed. If you’re here, you’re part of the layer of the working class that’s reached those conclusions early. Our task is to help bring the rest of our class along, to turn that anger into a revolutionary force capable of transforming society. The Winter School is the largest communist event in North America — a place to sharpen ideas and build a party of Marxist cadres for the battles ahead. So, what books are you arming yourself with? 👀📚 #mws2026

*NEW WINTER SCHOOL SESSION* The Minneapolis general strike marks a turning point in the American class struggle. Hundreds of thousands of ordinary people have begun realizing that they cannot trust the cops, politicians or any arm of the state, and are taking matters into their own hands. This is extremely significant. The only force capable of bringing down American capitalism and imperialism — the American working class itself — has begun to move. What does this mean for communists? What is our role in this process, and how can the movement actually win? Tom Trottier, from Revolutionary Communists of America, will present on this topic. Afterwards, we will hear from our comrades in Minneapolis about their activity on the ground during this historic moment. Don't miss out! Sign up now at marxist.ca/school. Link in bio

✊️🔥🧊 — Thousands gathered in Union Square to demand an end to ICE terror. What stood out was not just the anger, but the growing openness to organization, collective action, and revolutionary ideas. ICE is a weapon of capitalist state power, used to divide and discipline the working class. The rally showed both the strength of the movement and its central weakness... the absence of revolutionary leadership. The solution is organization. ✊️🚩🔥 — The 2026 Minnesota General Strike was not a one-off. It was a glimpse of what happens when workers act together and disrupt business as usual. But history shows that strikes alone are not enough. Without organisation, leadership, and a revolutionary programme, even the most powerful movements can be contained. The task now is clear: draw the lessons, prepare for the next battles, and build a party capable of leading the working class to victory. Thousands of New Yorkers filled Union Square on Friday to stand in solidarity with the Minnesota workers who are organizing to fight ICE. January 23, 2026 will be remembered as a turning point in the history of the American class struggle. Responding to a call by local unions and other organizations for a “day of action” to protest ICE terror, tens of thousands of Minnesotans braved –9° F (–23° C) weather in an energetic outpouring of mass political action. The result was a de facto citywide general strike, imposed from below. This was the first time anything remotely close to this has happened in the US in 80 years, since the 1946 strike wave, which saw general strikes in Oakland, Rochester, and other cities. Our comrades attended the rally in NYC, putting forward our ideas in a public discussion before the event. A crowd formed around us, with dozens of protesters eager to get involved with building a revolutionary party that can organize the fight against ICE and the entire rotten capitalist system. ✊️🚩🔥 — Workers and students across Minneapolis are rising! ✊ The murder of Renée Good by ICE has sparked outrage and a city-wide general strike. Schools, workplaces, and neighborhoods are organizing, acting collectively, and refusing to let state terror continue. This is a struggle for workers’ power, solidarity, and justice. We must build action committees, a citywide coordinating body, and an independent workers’ party to fight ICE and defend our communities!
