TODAY, WE WERE IN THE BLACK. 🖤

Not one parking space left.
Not one empty seat.
Standing. Room. Only.

Today, you didn’t just show up for In the Black: Black in Business you showed OUT.

And my heart is full.

To every panelist, our incredible keynote speaker, our partners, vendors, DJ, volunteers, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and every single person who walked through those doors — THANK YOU.

The value each of you brought into that room was immeasurable.

Your presence was felt.
Your voices were heard.
Your stories mattered.

There was laughter.
There was joy.
There was truth.
There were lessons learned, connections made, resources shared, and seeds planted.

But what moved me most was the energy in that room.

We witnessed what happens when Black entrepreneurs, professionals, dreamers, leaders, and community members come together — not simply to network, but to pour into one another.

We celebrated where we have been.
We acknowledged what it has taken to get here.
And we reminded one another that we are still building.

From the legacy of Black Wall Street and the pioneers who created businesses when doors were intentionally closed to them, to the entrepreneurs who are creating opportunities today — Black business has always been about more than business.

It is about legacy. Ownership. Resilience. Community. Opportunity.

And today, we added another page to that story.

If you walked away encouraged, inspired, challenged, connected, or believing a little more deeply in what is possible for your own vision — then we accomplished what we came to do.

Keep building.
Keep creating.
Keep collaborating.
Keep buying Black.
Keep supporting one another.
Keep opening doors — and when you walk through them, reach back and bring somebody with you.

Because being IN THE BLACK isn't just about the bottom line.

It's about building something that can outlive us.

To everyone who helped make today possible:

THANK YOU.

You made the room full.

But more importantly…

You made the room POWERFUL. 🖤

And trust me — we are just getting started.

Here’s to more life, more peace, more blessings, more gratitude, and more happiness. Happy Birthday to my childhood friend, @mspoka23! 🎉💕 May God continue to bless you today and always. 🙏🏾

I also had such a great time at Tijon Fragrance Lab @tijon_wpb. It was such a fun experience—I highly recommend it if you haven’t been yet! 🥂✨

20 plus years of friendship = family.
Focus on and appreciate the ones who stay when it's easier to leave.

May's #booksandbrunchbookclub meeting was nothing short of ahhhhhmazing. Like we said, we are not your mother's book club.

From day one, the atmosphere has been coined a #SafeSpace by both men and women.
These discussions have been so rich that we are going on Month 3 of the same book.

Join the discussion and be enriched. You can register for the June and July events. Link in bio.
